Press conference is apparently over. Any details on the plot? That's what I was looking forward to the most.

Well, this ended up a bit of an anti climax, since everyone had been talking about this for weeks before. It wasn't quite the same as when QOS was announced and it came as a surprise. In fact, not much of the announcements were a surprise at all.

Apart from some of it being 'in the wilds of Scotland', no- though they said QUANTUM won't have anything to do with the story.

Man, damn near every rumor was spot on. Even that tiny link to Carte Blanche in the name Severin. Great stuff!

Woah: "Mendes says that the names of Fiennes, Finney and Whishaw's characters are withheld because Bond fans might know them. Or they might not." - Empire tweet.

There might be a Blofeld and a Quartermaster in there somewhere...

Nothing they were pretty uptight to be honest. Wouldn't confirm the names of Bardem, Fiennes, Finney or Wishaw characters.

Leaves open possibilities like Blofeld, Messervy, Boothroyd etc., or not. LOL (I dream of Finney replacing Dench). Oh what sweet dreams.

If Bond's oven wasn't cooking an imminent quiche maybe he could bake some humble pie and hope there were enough slices for the title naysayers to go round.

Not hating the sound of that. Bond helped M out a couple of times in the books.

Not sure there is any nod to BLANCHE. It's not really on the Eon agenda.

Thanks! Really interesting. Though i know a lot of people won't be happy on the focus on M. I for one don't care! Skyfall is shaping up to be a Bond film like no other.

To summarise from some pretty crap questions.
All the names mentioned so far with any substance are in it.
Title is SKYFALL and no real reveals on the plot apart from the fact it has an emotional tie to what happens and it has no reference to the last 2 films apart from Bond and M being in it (according to SM).
Filming, London, China, Turkey, Scotland (I never cught anywhere else).
DC has a beard of some sorts and said he starts filming today.
Both girls (who are stunning) said thay have been training with guns, Naomi also mentioned stunt driving training.
We may or may not know who Finney and Fiennes are playing.
The scope, costs, action elements will be in line with the last two.
DC is up for more after as long as he's wanted.
No theme tune announcements as discussions ongoing and no mention of composer.
Documentary being produced now to mark the 50 years.

Excellent, so yet again they managed to avoid the 'personal' angle. :(

I'm rather hoping this is the end of Dench M - it just makes sense to let her go out with a bang.

On the other hand, there's no Quantum. Thinking about it, that sort of speaks against Blofeld being back (unless SPECTRE is... which seems unlikely).

Well no what I meant was that the name Severin is tied to Carte Blanche whether that was the intention or not, but it's clear to see why some reporters who may have actually caught wind of this came to the conclusion.

For whoever was there, was there any art?

There was nothing about who is composing the film. Mustn't have sorted that out yet, then.

Damn! Reading the plot synopsis I would have thought Property of a Lady would have been a better title. Skyfall just sounds like a B-grade sci-fi movie. Oh well... crap title, great film?

Finney seems a little too old to play a new "M", who realistically is a character he'll need to commit to for 10 years or so (although he would be good). Sir James Molony? Freddie Gray?

If that was in response to my post, I meant logo art. Not music.

No. Good title. Good film. It's all about context. Wanting a different title is not the same as the one they go with being wrong.

Ah but from SkyFall apparently having some emotional connection to the plot, I think the title 'The Property of a Man' would've been more appropriate, if you get me. ;)

I was able to get on by simply agreeing to a disclaimer. However, as of right now the Bond 23 section is blank.... I am guessing that section will got live today. Kind of surprised they did not have it ready to go live the moment the press conference started.

That one strapline of plot is no doubt a tiny part of a bigger iceberg. SKYFALL is clearly the more appropriate title for a domestic based, MI6 centred thriller - with the paranoia game rife and tripping folk up at every turn. It may well involve folk the wrong information because of panic. SKYFALL could well be all about that. THE PROPERTY OF A LADY may well not be remotely appropriate.

Where is NorthoftheThames in all of this? Didn't he says that we should all absolutely trust him when he said the title would not be SKYFALL?
