Way to go Mi6. Screw-ups.
It was in the Guardian I read it in. Didn't know it had hit Mi6 till much later - the Guardian page does seem to have vanished now.
Yes, seems the Guardian spilled the beans; probably manage their page on a low-costs basis and some overworked poor devil put it up prematurely without even realising what he/she did.
EDIT: SPOILER TAGS, Sorry guys.

I'll hold my thoughts until it's officially out there.
Hey, DouglasJ. Maybe you can go back and hide the relevant sentence in a SPOILER tag?
Done.
I would like to extend my apologies to anyone who saw it, I just assumed since it was in the paper it was now 'public domain' - I never considered the possibility of a leak. Again, I'm very sorry to all concerned.
Don't worry about it. Once it's leaked it's leaked.

Hopefully, the news will go up at the stroke of 12 BST. That's less than 4 hours away.

The following contains more spoilers than JUST the author - unless you've seen the whole original article, don't read.

The genie is out of the bottle. Spoiler tags/warnings in this thread at this point are completely unnecessary.Ah, hell, the genii is out of the bottle. Other sites are not protecting their threads. What do you guys think? Should I put on the outside of this thread that there are SPOILERS INSIDE and then we can break out and discuss without having to Spoiler tag everything?
I wish people would stop acting like PROJECT X wasn't leaked and start posting exactly what information was in The Guardian piece.

What did the article say besides Jeffrey Deaver and a modern setting? Any title? Date?
No title , unless it is Project x. To be published May 2011. As I recall.

That's encouraging to hear.Having quite a few Deaver novels in my bookcollection, he is one of the writers I do buy blindly with each new book, I must say I am very pleased about this news.

I cant wait and I would be happy with a one off and a new writer every couple or years to keep it fresh.
I'd prefer them to write three or four. Gives them a chance to get comfortable. Then get rid before they get bored.
