Suppose Daniel Craig will be back as 007, for how many films would you wish to see him back?

Looks good to me. Who is he?

Aidan Turner, the British Press and Twitter have been banging on about his Bond potential over the last few days.

He's been terrific in The BBC's 'And Then There Were None' which was screened over 3 nights and from which the above photos were taken.

People seemed to like this image too and could see the Bond possibilities.

Here is a bit from the Mail about all this.

There were lots of other press write ups, here is one from the Metro, just to give an idea as to what has been going on.

Sign him up, bring the team back, Waltz included and then make our YOLT. Japan, Barracudas, Garden of Death, ... all of it. Oh, and call it The Death Collector.

I've so far seen only the first ep of And The There Were None (so please be careful with spoilers :) but I'm already impressed with Turners screen presence.

I was likewise impressed with his turn in The Hobbit, as well as BBC series The Romantics of a few years back. But in both roles he was a sympathetic character painted in broad strokes. Craig has brought back an umcomprising toughness - an 'I don't give a f*** what anyone else thinks, cos I'm James f***ing Bond, to the role which has been absent since Connery left the role.

I saw Turner as being a return to the softer, audience friendly, slightly whimpier Bond - the pretty boy gentleman spy. However I now see he s more than capable of grit and should he portray Bond that way he could indeed be a great choice.

I now see the final 3 in the auditions as Dan Stevens, Rupert Freind and Turner (In the final analysis I don't see Hardy wanted the role, having the world currently at his feet).

But I also think Craig will do B25.

Well, I´d rather have Danny do YOLT in those lines than anybody else. But, for me, Turner beats Stevens and Friend, acting wise and looks. Not a bad voice either. But yeah, you´re right, Craig will do B25.

Try and find the first three series of the british version of Being Human. Turner plays the vampire Mitchell, he's phenomenal in the role.

I´ve just seen Poldark. Aidan Turner could definitely be a superb Bond.

I'd still like to see this guy: https://uk.pinterest...61918711926147/

I know he's a little on the young side now but if Craig does another film then that's at least another 3 years away, so he would be 32/33 when cast... so we would be looking at a 35 year old Richard Madden if he was BOND 7. Perhaps wouldn't be so bad  ;)

Here's another actor who I dont think has been mentioned yet, but would be a very interesting option.

Tom Cullen ('Weekend', 'Downton Abbey', 'Room 8')

He has been mentioned. Based on his performance on Downton I'd have to see him play tough or confident to know he could be Bond.

Actually, wouldn't it be a big plus if a candidate is already familiar with love scenes? Not every actor does them; and of those who do not every performance is artistically convincing. Cullen is definitely on the better side of the market in my view.

I agree with these sentiments - if anything those types of scenes does his credibility a world of good!!

Craig was going to be in no matter what. Barbara totally wanted him. But an overly gay scene is not very helpful to the chances of an actor who will be asked to project the tough, macho James Bond.

I guess some will mind and some won't. I won't; couldn't care less in fact. As long as the projecting of the tough guy act is sufficiently convincing there is no problem.

Despite being hetero myself, it was the gay sex scenes in Love is The Devil that convinced me that Craig should be Bond. Goes to show that it's how you do it, not who you do it to...

Check out Cullens performance in the incredible short 'Room 8'. He can do macho easily. For me his convincing performance in Weekend is just a testament what a great and daring actor he is. I think he would be very interesting.

I also thought Tom Cullen had a good look for Bond. He'd probably be the best candidate out of all the Downton cast IMO.

will indeed be the first "headline" from The Sun or The Daily Mail if he was cast. Shame though, he's a good actor.

Having seen him in Doctor Who and Eastenders i'd suggest he's already pushing the envelope in terms of acting chops. But perhaps he's shown greater potential elsewhere...

He may have been an easy fit in 70s/80s when the public expected a catalogue model performance of nods and winks. But i think Craig's raised the bar far too high for the urbane charms of mr Ellis.

Maybe i'll try an ep of Lucifer to check out his 'Bondability', though i'd made a point of avoiding it after suffering the excruciatingly naff trailers.
