Not anything definitive - but still interesting:
Today, SPECTRE has its German premiere in Berlin. During the press conference Barbara Broccoli asked the reporters whether Daniel Craig had told them about his future as Bond. When a reporter replied that Craig had explicitly just told him that he wanted to stay in the role, Broccoli said: "Good. I want him to remain Bond, too."
Asked about BOND 25 she said that they would meet in a few months to talk about which story they want to tell next.

If confirmed that is welcome news.

Great find, thanks for digging this up and sharing it. It's a definite plus to hear there is going to be movement at the Bond front in the near future. And that it's the winning team intending to make that movement.
Indeed. Don't think I would be brave enough to ask the BOND 25 question so soon. Glad someone has.

Interesting find ! It might intentionally have some jokes within it, but the entirety of it -- if any of it were meant sincerely -- is ridiculous and outrageous, dubious, grievous and devious ! ...with nodes and apologies to Jackie Chiles...

With Craig returning for Bond 25, It's probably save to say that we will not see a new actor playing Bond until at least 2020 (although 2022 would be a safer bet). This means that anyone over 35 is already getting a bit too old. This leaves us with Rupert Friend (34), Henry Cavill (32), Chris Hemsworth (32), Charlie Hunnam (35), Jack Huston (32), Ben Barnes (34), Tom Hiddleston (34), Richard Madden (29), Aidan Turner (32), Dan Stevens (33), Jamie Bell (29), Sam Claflin (29), Theo James (30), Tom Hughes (29), Alex Pettyfer (25) and Robert Pattinson (29). And of course loads of up-and-coming actors we don't even know yet.
With most of these actors it's still too early to judge whether they will have the right look in 5 to 7 years time. But an actor that I personally like is Richard Madden (see picture below) who co-starred in this years hit 'Cinderella' and will play a CIA agent alongside Idris Elba in next years action film 'Bastille Day'. Still the most likely candidates remain Henry Cavill and Rupert Friend.

Too old by the time Craig calls it quits and too big a star already.

I just saw Spectre at a prescreening. I liked it, but it is a mixed bag of some highs and lows. Daniel Craig was good, but he did not have that same "it factor" as in Casino Royale. I think he will most likely be done. I tried to picture many of the possible Bonds in this topic, but I did not come to any One actor I would prefer. I hope the next Bond is much like Craig - in being the Bond in Casino Royale. Spectre had many unbelievable parts. I think Craig must have felt he was being forced to be in a comical era Bond movie. The next Bond will surprise most of us - maybe. I hope my brother Bond fans will like like the movie. I cringed at a few points. The ejector seat in the new Aston Martin was almost like Pierce surfing on a Blue Screen, in his last outing. Thank you to Daniel Craig for helping save the Bond movies. The King is dead - God save the "next" King!

I can get onboard with that. Although Friend seems like a more interesting actor, I just don't feel he has the charisma Cavill has. Hopefully he won't be too expensive and people can see him as both Superman and Bond. I certainly can.

Cavill isn't going to be Bond. EON is not going to share him with WB and DC.

Agreed. I wouldn't want him, anyway. I prefer your choice of Rupert Friend.

I wouldn't want him either. I've never understood the appeal, to be honest. Even if that weren't the case and he was my top choice, it wouldn't change the fact that he's not going to get the gig. He's in the midst of a huge multi-film contract to play Superman. They may be searching for the new Bond as early as next year or, at the latest, three years from now, when he'll still be tied up with various Man of Steel and Justice League sequels.
Friend, on the other hand, I find to be an infinitely more interesting choice. Going by the article posted on this site a long time back, he gave a great reading for the part for Casino Royale. I also seem to recall coming across an article with someone close to the Bond production saying that he cam close to getting the job at one point during the process. It would seem at the very least that he'll be on some kind of shortlist, much like Dalton and Brosnan were prior to them actually being cast in the role.

Probably, yes.
My shortlist still includes Dan Stevens and Rupert Friend

Cavill's turn in MAN FROM UNCLE sold me on the idea of Cavill being Bond. He's very charismatic in that film.
EON will NOT have a James Bond who has been Napoleon Solo. If the Superman franchise did not kill any Bond chances for Cavill playing another (fairly) well-known spy did.

I am a big advocate of Rupert Friend, and I urge everybody on this board to check him out in Homeland.
Friend's performance as Peter Quinn is pure Fleming's Bond, the guy is straight out of the novels.
Dare I say it, he is more Fleming's tortured, cold, cynical, conflicted and loner Bond than Daniel Craig's portrayal.

Bond 25 wont start shooting until at least three years from now. Anyone who will be 40 by then I doubt will play Bond, so this rules out Tom Hardy, Michael Fassbender and Dominic Cooper. The first two will probably decline a three picture deal anyway since they're already stars. If there was a list, and I guess there's nothing official now, as we're probably at least four years away from a new Bond, I think some of the names below probably feature. I've knocked together a list of possibles, but not included anyone who will be over the age of 45, or younger than their early 30s, in the next 3-4 years.
Tom Hardy
Aidan Turner
Rupert Friend
Henry Cavill
Michael Fassbender
Dan Stevens
Luke Evans
Kit Harington
Ben Barnes
Tom Hiddleston
Jamie Dornan
Dominic Cooper
Charlie Hunnam
Richard Madden
Chris Hemsworth
