According to the JB dossier's facebook page, there's a huge bet on Tom Hardy becoming Bond.
If Tom Hardy does land the role, I won't watch any of his films. I can't stand the guy either as a person or as a performer. He's not good enough for the role and he does not deserve it.
Who do you want for Bond 7? * POLL ADDED*

Frankly, there is much more going on in the betting world than in Bond's. We've seen lots of buzz already, most of it without actual relation to events in the real world. I wouldn't be overly concerned for now.

It makes me nervous. He's not the right choice.

If the betting is coming in big on Hardy, then he won't get it. Looking back at the last search, the names of those who were getting the big bucks put down on them were pretty far off the mark when the dust settled and Craig was announced as Bond.

But as far as anybody can tell we're presently nowhere close to such a situation. Whether it's Hardy or anybody else who gets pushed in that sphere, it's usually for reasons outside the realm of Bond; it may not even have to do with the actors themselves.

So true.
Also, Hardy is now doing VENOM for Sony, potentially for many sequels. Even that makes it hardly (no pun) realistic for him to become Bond.
And, um, the bets were pretty good for this guy named Tom Hiddleston...

At this rate and real lack of information, the next James Bond is still in his teenage years!

Could well be, sadly.

In so far as reliable sources go these stories probably aren't worth the chip paper they're written on. However, i've maintained all along that Craig's return is the most likely (and for me the most desirable) outcome.

Just when I thought there will be no new rumours until fall at best...
Well, either this is just because it´s summer and nothing else going on in the entertainment world..
... or an announcement may come sooner rather than later and the mirror and the dailymail indeed were tipped off (although one seems to copy the other).
If true, then I fear/imagine that Mendes will be brought back, too.
Does anyone know what kind of track record the writers of these articles have (Sharan Feinstein / Julia Pritchard)?

By the way, for all the Nolan lovers: he confirmed he had talks with EON over the years, yet he only wants to be involved if Bond needs reinvention: http://screenrant.co...ts-reinvention/
Which, to me, is a scary thought: a reboot by Nolan would turn Bond into even more of a dark knight. (Yes, obvious pun.)

Quick google search informed me that this guy is actually a typical gossip tv persona: https://twitter.com/...ossking?lang=de
Well, it´s summer. I´ll take that rumour and feel good for a minute.

New York Times writes that Craig will return for Bond 25, making him the oldest actor to play Bond (at age 51) apart from of course Roger Moore. And the only actor apart from Moore and Connery playing Bond for more than four films.
https://www.nytimes....nd-in-2019.html
It's safe to say this will be Craigs last Bond film. Meaning that the next Bond actor won't be playing the part before 2022. It's virtually impossible to predict who would be a realistic candidate, but if I'd have to bet: my money is on Henry Cavill who will be 39 by then. I guess Adrian Turner, Rupert Friend, James Norton, Dan Stevens, Sam Claflin, Tom Hughes are also still young enough.
One thing is for sure, anyone close to or over 40 is off the list. Actors like Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Michael Fassbender, Damian Lewis and Luke Evans.

After seeing him in The Guest, and knowing he left Downton Abbey to do it, Dan Stevens is my top choice to take over. Not only did he show himself to be a pro in action scenes he also showed he was capable of playing a character who is simultaneously dangerous and charming
This is a little something I put together for Youtube a while ago. I've taken images of Dan Stevens and paired them with snippets of dialogue and narration from his audio book of Casino Royale (along with some Bond theme for good measure) to create an audition of sorts.
Hope you enjoy.

Tom Hardy is the only other candidate from the current crop that convinces in both departments. Stevens would be a great Bond, so long as Eon want that dangerous Guest vibe.
I'm very pleased (and not at all surprised) that Craig is likely returning. But Stevens is in waiting, imo.

Source? I'm rooting for Stevens too, I just don't want to get my hopes up unduly.
