Jack Huston is a very interesting choice. He would be different, but possibly brilliant.

I completely agree. He would be different and is also the polar opposite of Craig.

Jim Parsons. Forget the fact that he's a comedic performer, he's got the look without even trying. All he really needs is to grow his hair out longer and have a scar and he's almost a dead ringer for Ian's comissioned drawing.

Correction - He isn't a citizen of the United Kingdom, so nevermind. Apologies.

God no. I can only imagine him as a Boris Grishenko-type, but even more of a klutz. With a scar he'd look absolutely ridiculous. It's just his face that makes him look like a caricature.

If he were either actually British or Scottish then yes.

For goodness sake you naysayers are just too much. Michael Keaton was Batman so in theory... Parsons could work as Bond. However with him being American he's immediately disqualified.

Trust me, him being American was the last thing on my mind when I saw that suggestion. To each their own though.

I'm hoping they go with someone in their early 30's like Connery was after Craig and I hope Craig's Bond fpr another 10 years.

This is based on nothing in particular, but I strongly believe that Craig will only do two more, and leave the role around 2016. I just don't see him staying till he's old and gray. But he'll be fairly "seasoned"-looking when he leaves. And when the new Bond is cast, he will be dramatically younger and more conventionally handsome. After Craig, it is inevitable that Bond 7 will be accused of being a pretty boy. So I hope he's a fine actor, and charismatic.

I also think Craig will leave after Bond 25, but we will see. Moore was supposed to be done after he was eligible to join the AARP (or England's equivalent) after FYEO, but was able to get a Viagra prescription from his doctor to do OP and AVTAK, so you never know.

I have watched the short-lived TV show Camelot during X-mas holidays. I could not help thinking Clive Standen would be perfect for Bond in the future... after a good haircut of course !

Ben Barnes: He was in two of those Narnia movies. He's 31 now, so by the time Craig quits, (guessing 2017 or 18,) he'll be about the right age for James Bond.

Hugh Jackman hasn't given up hope of playing James Bond

After saying he wasn't interested when he was first sounded out about playing James Bond, Hugh Jackman now admits that he would jump at the chance

the telegraph jan 07 2013

After Pierce Brosnan handed in his licence to kill, Hugh Jackman was briefly sounded out about taking over as James Bond, but, pre-occupied with X-Men 2, he said he wasn’t interested. “Of course, I cry myself to sleep every night,” the star of Les Misérables now ruefully admits.

As capricious as the 44-year-old Australian-born actor may have been, it would appear that he hasn’t given up all hope of one day making the role his own when, eventually, Daniel Craig calls it a day.

It is even figuring in Jackman’s calculations as he plans where he should buy a permanent home in London. “And you know what, maybe close to the MI6 headquarters,” he tells Fabric magazine. “The chance to play Bond could crop up again and I want to be prepared.”

After Craig managed to negotiate a £31 million fee for the next two instalments in the series, Jackman may well have to be patient.

Or a Jimmy Bond in the inevitable remake of "Casino Royale 1967".

Another actor I really like is Jack Huston of Boardwalk Empire. He's a diamond in the Rough.

Huston is incredible in Boardwalk Empire - the finale of season 2 had me hollering out loud for his half-man killing machine.

It's very hard to tell how suitable he'd be for Bond from his performance as this very unique character, but it's a marvellous suggestion and if i were Eon i'd be curious to meet him.

Won't happen.  He'll be too old by the time Craig hangs up his tux.  EON will go for someone they can bank on for another decade, just like with Craig by the time he's done.

Well yeah I know it will never happen. He is too old and he is too well known. I like that they pick actors that aren't as well known.

There was a time several years ago when I would have liked the idea of Jackman.  He seemed like a definite step up from Brosnan in my mind.  I'm so glad that never transpired, though.  Just like I'm glad things never materialized with Clive Owen.  I wouldn't want to give up the Craig era for anything.

Yeah I definitely agree, still it's fun to fantasize on who will take over the role when Craig leaves. I think they should get someone that looks like Henry Cavill, because he has the look in my opinion.

Boy, is THAT an understatement!  It will be almost like replacing Connery all over again!

I agree with the others on here who say that we're going to get a pretty boy after Craig. It's inevitable as I don't think anyone can match Craig on the acting depth front.

Cavill would look fantastic as Bond - think Connery in the opening scenes of From Russia with Love at the Spectre training property. He has the look for sure.

I'm not sure about his acting ability though. I've seen him in some movies and his acting seems pedestrian - as long as he can improve this a bit he should be ok - Bond is not exactly thespian material.

Keep in mind that he was the number two choice behind Craig when they cast Casino Royale, and based on the producer's history, they tend to go back to the same well - so he has a pretty good shot at it if Superman bombs.

You know who would be outstanding - and he's in need of a blockbuster franchise - Christian Bale. I always thought he would be perfect, but then he became Bruce Wayne

Henry Cavill will never be James Bond unless Superman fails. If Superman does really good Henry Cavill will not be James Bond. That is who I have been suggesting, but if Superman works he will be way too famous.

I agree. Cavill is in a difficult position: MAN OF STEEL has to deliver. Otherwise he won´t be viable anymore. But if his take on Superman works there´s no way he can become Bond as well.

If Jim Caviezel weren´t an American I could imagine him as 007 - especially after having seen him in "Person of Interest". Hey, his mother is Irish, so...
