Suppose Daniel Craig will be back as 007, for how many films would you wish to see him back?

colin farrell as james bond would not be a james bond movie - it would be a colin farrell movie with him playing James Bond- he is too well known- James Bond actors have always been to a point- less well known and certainly not Hollywood blockbuster stars. This is part of the success of James Bond I think in that we dont know everything about them- so the actors still have the mystery to them where we can belueve they blend in and actually are secret agents

Also I find colin farrell comes across as a "common man" not a "sophisticated british spy" - I doubt he could pull it off without looking like hes enjoying himself too much

The guy would probably order a bottle of vodka a jar of olives and then get shaken and stirred himself senseless.

Yeah like I hinted at above, I think he's too much of a star to be considered for Bond. And then there's his slightly shady past. But speaking of that - y'all know Mr. Fassbender isn't exactly a squeaky clean role model when it comes to women, right? Some interesting stuff to be found on google for all the newly anointed X-men fans who think he's perfect...

I tell you one thing, it´s not that hard to sympathize, as we have discovered in the last 5 years, with Daniel Craig. The guy is very private and secretive of his personal life, but I guess that´s part of the cool persona he has going on. Farrel, Fassbender,..., the´re just mediatic and media flashers. And besides, Craig has the best looking girlfriend of the lot (ok, not relevant). I just hope Craig stays in the Bond franchise for a long long time. I wonder what he thinks about people like Farrel? Family man Pierce Brosnan is always the moral compass in what regards women, I suppose.

Or he might just be wasted through the whole shoot and not remember any of it like when he filmed Miami Vice :D

Which is probably a good thing. Not remembering his Sonny Crockett is the best homage he can offer Don Johnson. ;)

I'm always the one coming up with left field choice (David Tenant ;)), and this time is no different. Though really this is nothing new for me, as I've suggested this particular actor before:

Colin Farrell

I am a huge fan of Farrell's, I love him in everything he does, and think he's electric in Miami Vice. Granted he would probably never be considered do to his "bad boy" attitude, but I think it'd be an interesting direction to go in, and he's only 36 right now, still be the right age when it came time to recast the role.

I think I suggested him too a while (years?) ago in another thread. But I seem to recall a quote from Babs or at least attributed to Babs that was dismissive of him, when she said Jackman was too fey and Farrell was too sleazy(!). On the other hand, Brosnan also suggested him for the role, maybe that was just a case of Irish pride!
Realistically I'm sure if EON were interested, his name would have been bandied about a lot more during the Casino Royale audtions. Probably too big of a name now, though he isn't tied down to any superhero series roles which is probably a plus to EON.

I hate Colin Farrell. I dislike him in every film he´s in. Sleazy...yep, Babs got it right. Can´t see Jackman being Bond, he´s very typecast as wolverine by now.

Fassbender and Craig are the only guys who I can see as Bond, although Craig has the better voice and swagger.

Fassbender´s "Cheers" in the X-men trailer (btw, it only appears on the trailer, and not on the film) is pure Connery. One thing I dislike about Fassbender, is that he has that irishgoingforamericanwithatouchofgerman accent that doesn´t fitt very well with Bond, IMO of course. The accent he uses in Inglorious Basterds is spott on.

Craig...he has that swagger voice. Even when I thought...Eon, you´re probably bonkers, I remember watching an interview he did for Invasion (awfull film BTW), and thinking...Hey, he sounds awesome.

Anyways, just saying...I hate Farrell (alexander the great...right :dizzy: )

Colin Farrell wouldn't be an appropriate 007. He'd be more comfortable playing a whiny little bitch trapped in a phone booth all day... oh wait, he DID that already. Sorry.

Why so quick to dismiss Daniel Craig? The guy just GOT here.

Wait a minute... Pierce Brosnan also recommended Colin Salmon for the role. I can't even BEGIN to imagine how THAT would work.

Like Judo Chop says, it would be nice if the next actor did not attempt to copy Craig's portrayal in any way, just like Moore and Dalton did not copy their respective predecessors.

Dalton copied Moore?!!! That's news to ME! Dalton's performance was diametrically opposite Moore's clownish Bond portrayal. Unfortunately the generation of Bond watchers were too used to a clown 007 and didn't like Dalton. Very unfortunate. Dalton IMO is the 2nd best Bond (after Connery) in the movies.

There is a 'not' in the part you're quoting, so I think it's fairly obvious it doesn't state Dalton copied Moore in any way.
