I keep listening. It's so exactly, perfectly, what I assume almost everyone wanted.

Youngest was Sheena Easton, surely?

You sir, are right.

1.) Sheena Easton - 21 years old

2.) Adele - 24 years old

3.) Tom Jones - 25 years old

and so forth.

Carly Simon was only 21/22 when she sang No one does it better in 1977 so she higher than Adele

Wow, that was good. I really like the tune, it's kind of ominous and foreboding.

Perfect for this movie, too, I can see them playing this melody in the background of the Newman tracks, like they did with You Know My Name in CR.

Not an Adele fan in the slightest, but not bad.

Exactly! When was the last time a Bond song was universally well received? I can't remember.

Just search "Adele Skyfall" in Soundcloud, there are plenty of working links available. This song just oozes classic Bond. I couldn't be happier!

Don't link to it here, the fact the other stream was taken down shows it shouldn't have been up. Better keep safe here.

I might be the only person in the world who'd never heard an Adele song 'til today. Anyway...

I dig it! Looking forward to hearing the whole thing later in the week.

My my, that's the cure to amend the insult by that AWTD BS. Simply great ! 100% Bond, 100% Adele, superb arranged. The careful use of the Bond Theme feels so good and right. Looking forward to enjoy the entire piece on Friday.

I downloaded the clip, put it into iTunes, and now have it blasting through my home theater speakers.

It sounds wonderful. Very classy.

I can't help but think that Adele is perfect for the song and the song is perfect for her.

I also think too that if anybody ever wonders what an Amy Winehouse theme song would have been like... well... there you have it.

Let me go on record by saying I can't stand Adele's music. It's not my cup of tea at all. However, there's no denying she has an amazing voice. This preview gave me chills. It sounds like it could have been the theme for a Connery film. I can understand where the generic comments are coming from but this is exactly what I was hoping for - a classic sounding Bond theme for a (hopefully) classic Bond film. Perfectly fitting for the 50th Anniversary. I couldn't be happier.

So much for misdirection and elaborate marketing ploys. Oh well. Time to accept it... and enjoy it eventually. At some point.

Sounds very haunting on first listen.

Nice chords of the James Bond theme. May take a while to win me over, and probably will REALLY do it in context with the main titles.

DING, DING, DING! This is what I've always felt during these debates about who should (and shouldn't) sing a Bond song. To me, it's all about how the song will bring us from the PTS, thru the title sequence and the "start" of the film. Over time, if the song resonates, I'll listen to it on its own- outside the confines of of the film itself.

The snippet of "Skyfall" sounds decent. Now, I'm waiting to hear it while Kleinmann's sequence plays out in the Imax format.

Parts of Another Way to Die I really like, the opening Dum-Dum--DUUMM!! *pause* Dum-Dum- DUUMM! *then the vocals kick in*..thought that was very Bond-esque...but I have always HATED the middle section of the song where White and Keys caterwall with the OOHH-OHH-AHH--OHH!! OOOH-Oh- aha--oh-Oh!! , well you get the idea... LOL

After two very different theme tune experiments (Chris Cornell's working out exponentially better than JW/AK's efforts) this is a refreshing return to a more classic style Bond tune. This is certainly the best film titled song we've heard since Moonraker.
