That didn't change the meaning of your words I quoted, though. I isolated them to underline how ridiculous your statement was.
Yes, it did, actually. Not liking a song on the basis that it was part of a concept album may be a ridiculous idea - on its own. But not liking a song on the basis of it being a concept album in conjunction with not liking another song or another reason is not.
It is, actually. You're still saying you don't like it because it's on a concept album whether or not you dress anything on top. It's a stupid reason. It's like saying 'I don't like him because he's Belgian and he broke my window'. Whether or not there's another reason on top, you can't say you don't like someone because they're Belgian: it's arbitrary and makes you look stupid.
You can't just say 'or another reason' and expect me to respect that. It's mindless.
The rest of your post talks about how you dislike a song based on the idea of it being in an old style.
Once again, you twist my words. Please stop doing it. I really didn't like it. My reasons for not liking these songs are much more complex than you make them out to be.
Then try to express that. People will take your reasoning to be moronic if you present it in that style.
The reason why I did not like that other song was not because "it was in an old style". I did not like that song because the first thing I thought of when I heard it was some record producer saying "Hey, music from the 1940s is old, and old is retro, and retro is cool, and cool songs sell well so let's bring back the style of the 1940s because it will be popular".
Well that's your problem, isn't it? What you imagine in your head is a rubbish basis to dismiss an artist on. What's wrong with artists picking an aesthetic?
Sorry if you feel I'm being a bit harsh on you Tightpants, but frankly you've been being a bit of a dick on these boards for a while now and I'm a bit tired of it.
