If only we could find some way to merge Adele, Dame Shirley, Lana del Rey and Maandig into one super-artist ... but I've fairly certain that doing so would violate the laws od science and religion.
Zorin Industries (not our friend here) could probably achieve that.

After the subpar ANOTHER WAY TO DIE (which should have been sung just by Keys, IMO) I would love to have at least a decent melody again.

You want Duran Duran to perform the title theme on the basis that they reached number one on smoe music chart twenty-five years ago?I can't remember if I mentioned this before...but the only band with a Number 1 for a James Bond theme, and as they've grown up, so has the series and with award winning sultry tones, haunting music and even toe-tapping rhythem if needed...a new album, a new year, a new Bond film but an old favourite with new and old fans...
....Duran Duran.
Get off the internet.

I for one would love the return of Duran Duran, just because I like their music, as I suspect thecasinoroyale does.

Now, do you really want LMFAO performing a Bond theme? Because I'm sure it can be arranged.

No one used that logic. thecasinoroyale simply stated that as the fact that it is and moved on to characterize why he thought the Band was still adequate. Chill. He likes Duran Duran, I like Duran Duran, some others probably do. I happen to really like the theme from AVTAK. I don´t think anyone would use that dreadfull logic about Bands in nº1 Captain. Not thecasinoroyale, and certainly not me.Using the logic that Duran Duran should do the SKYFALL theme because they went to number one twenty-five years ago...

Yes, but will Beyonce actually be able to do a song without some flavour of the week rapper holding her hand?
And as for Adele, ugh, change the record love, you sing about the same stuff in every song, bitter, bitter woman.
I sincerely hope that there will NEVER be any rap on a Bond song.

I had a premonition last night. A strong premonition. I actually believe that it will be Sir Paul McCartney. I don't know why I believe. But I do.
Had you eaten anything unusual?

Most modern audiences would probably have no idea who McCartney is.I seriously think the time is right for McCartney to return. As it is a big Bond anniversary, using McCartney would be a link to the past without it being pastiche.

People talk about AWTD being musically daring. Only on paper perhaps (a duet) and in regards to other Bond songs, but it's basically a mix mash of Nuggets-era psychedelic/garage rock, some pretty amateur big band stuff with the Memphis Horns, and a bit of mainstream RnB. It's one big throwback to the late 60s/early 70s.

Oh, I'm not blaming them at all. I'm just pointing out that newcomers to the Bond franchise might not recognise McCartney for who he is, much less for his contributions to the franchise in the past. No doubt the fifteen and sixteen year-olds who are watching Bond films for the first time probably haven't seen much outside the Brosnan and Craig films. You can't exclusively pander to their desires by having LMFAO or Ke-dollar-ha (I refuse to spell her name as she does) perform the theme, but nor can you totally ignore them. And as good as McCartney is - though I, personally, am not a fan of him or the Beatles; I can appreciate what they did, but that doesn't mean I like them - I just think he would alienate a key demographic a little bit.Can you blame them? He hasn't had a hit in decades.
