I think TWINE is reasonable. I actually like it more than I used to,I remember really disliking it at the cinema. I would now rank it third best of the Brosnan films [with GE being the worst]. It seems like they really started off with the intention of doing a few new and interesting things,then about half way through all but gave up and decided to make just a half hearted generic typical Bond film.

A good example is the Bond/Elektra relationship,it had great potential,possibly Bond's most interesting relationship since OHMSS, but it's not followed through and we end up not really caring. Almost everything in the film is rather drab and run-of-the-mill,including the action [with the exception of the opening boat chase]and I don't think Micheal Apted enjoyed making the film one bit.

Still,as I've said,I like it more than I used to,and i have a feeling it could rise up the list a little more in time. It's possible that the original 148 min cut could be a lot better and I'd love to see it.
