(Ha, ha, ha--okay, okay, The Spy Who Loved Me.)
Next clue:
A slight flameout.

Whoops, you're right--I didn't finish it out and name Die Another Day.
(Ha, ha, ha--okay, okay, The Spy Who Loved Me.)
Next clue:
A slight flameout.
Could this be a pun for the lighter Leiter scene in LTK?

Warning: The solution to this one is a little offbeat, but I don't yet want to say exactly how because it might give too much away. A few months ago in one of these guessing games, someone had an answer that related to a deleted scene from CR. This isn't from a deleted scene, but it's offbeat in kind of the way that one was. Whether this info will reduce or add to the confusion, I have no idea....!

Keep in mind that it's slight, and it's a flameout.

Again, remember the word slight and the fact that it's a flameout rather than a flame.

I described this as offbeat because, while it happened within the film, it's actually a blooper. A further clue is that it was a Connery blooper.

The cigarette that switches position in between shots during the casino scene in Dr. No?This has languished awhile. Maybe this will help move things along:

It's the correct movie--so yours is, strictly speaking, the winning guess--and the correct type of prop, but I'm thinking of a different moment a bit later in the film. I think you should get first crack at this, so in the unlikely event anyone else is looking in, please hold your answers if you don't mind, and let Mr. Blofeld work this out!

While Bond is smoking, the length of his socks change?Yes. If the blooper's not as well known as I thought, I can just tell it.

His match goes out in-between shots, or something? You've named two bloopers I didn't know existed! This one may be tough to (ahem) match.

Hopefully mine won't take as long:
The media circus on this one is enough to make you blow up.
