I didn't see a similar topic, so I thought I'd try a new game: Post a small scene from any Bond movie (official and "unofficial," or, non-EON related) and try to guess where it's from.

Example:
After going in to the doctor's, I stopped in for a quick bite.

Answer:
Thunderball or Die Another Day.

Sound okay?

How's this?

Went for a quick walk, ended up in an "explosive" situation.

I tried to make it easy. B)

I like this game. The first clue's a little general, so my guess may be slightly wild: the Madagascar chase in Casino Royale?

I bought the Bollinger and fois-gras but managed to spill milk everywhere.

Correct! B)

My guess is the safehouse scene in The Living Daylights.

You got me!

I proved a rabbit and a fawn can swim but the actor's daughter clearly couldn't.

WOW, that's a cold one. Sounds like Diamonds Are Forever, though.

BTW, Zorin, as a matter of game ettiqutte, usually the winner makes the next clue--not a free for all of postings, so technically it is MAJOR B's turn, as Daniel was answering your post, which was a queue-jumper.

Thanks, trs. Plus, unless I'm pretty sure my guess was right, I'll usually wait for confirmation before I post my own clue. So to avoid further entanglement, I'll let danielcraigis... confirm your guess (which sounds pretty right-on to me), and then you can go ahead and provide a clue. I'm sure I'll jump back in at some point. (Mind you, my magnanimity has nothing to do with my not having the ghost of an idea for a clue at the moment... B) )

I'm sorry. I guess I don't follow. What do you want me to confirm?

Whoops. I got lost among the nested quotes. That was Zorin Industries who gave the rabbit/fawn clue. Sorry for the confusion, danielcraigis...!

Oh, okay.
If it's alright with trs and Zorin, I think MajorB should go next, seeing as he was the first to answer my question correctly.

Most kind. Howzabout:

Left one woman to find another, lost her but found a third, but then had to run. Busy night!

You've done again, sir!

Bond leaves Domino at the Junkanoo to find the kidnaped Paula, but she is lost (dead); he then finds Fiona in the bath but has to run after she captures him. All in the same night. If stamina has a name, it must be Bond!

Over to you!

Oops - sorry post with the (correct) answer came at the same time -

I was going with the whole - Link, to Jill Masterson, to Tilly Masterson and then run... but clearly Thunderball is more accurate - all in one night

So that's what that line in that scene was! I could never understand was was being ordered, and never bothered to check the captions. I'm a more enlightened man today!

OK, let's see if we can make this last longer than 8 minutes B)

There was some hanging about before getting tied up and eventually just a drop in the ocean.

AVTAK? Bond hangs onto Zorin's zeppelin, then ties it to the Golden Gate Bridge, and Zorin ultimately ends up in the ocean...well, the bay.

Correct, Major. I was hoping the "drop in the ocean" reference would steer a guess toward YOLT, but there you have it. Time elapsed: 30 minutes.

Over to you.

Knowing your baroque turn of thought, trs, I assumed that that phrase meant it wasn't YOLT.

Let's see...

O eternal night,
Why must your spirit eat us?
Silenced are my words.
