Um... I think he was meant to be that way.

I'm sure he was. That's beside the point. He was still irritating to watch! B)

Anything with XENIA in. Famke Janssen is a solid enough actress, but should have been given something a bit better than some 1970's Pink Panther chanteusse who has an inward orgasm every time she kills someone (NOTE TO WRITERS - that doesn't work in film and will only make the actress look silly when she tries... as it did).

Another one from TWINE. When Brosnan touches Elektra's tear on the computer scree. Is this James Bond or the Lifetime movie of the week?

That would probably be my most cringe-worthy moment of the entire franchise. Either that, or any scene that follows Bond's arrival in Iceland in DIE ANOTHER DAY.

I think the ice palace is easily one of the best set designs seen in the series since Moonraker. There may be many terrible moments in the film after Bond arrives in Iceland, but I wouldn't call the entire section a nadir on the basis of that alone.

I have to strongly disagree. It looked like the blue neon and dry ice museum from the opening of Schumacher's Batman and Robin. Clearly plexiglass and designed around that Aston chase, with obviously reinforced floors to allow for the cars. Even worse, it was another example of Peter Lamont doing a Ken Adam style set, which in my opinion just isn't his strength.

The Ken Adam influence is not just about size, but about stylisation, colour coordination, geometry. Much smaller sets like Kananga's Croc farm workshop from LALD, Piz Gloria from OHMSS or the Carver penthosue from TND in my mind have more to do with the Ken Adam influence, because of their designer use of colour and shapes.

To me, it doesn't matter how big your soundstage set is when it's an unimaginatively designed eyesore like the ice palace. Or the Janus base. Or the KGB high command.

I don't just like the ice palace for it's scale though, I like the look of it. Sorry, but I do.

Do you mean the KGB high command in Octopussy? That's another great set in my opinion.

I've got one: In Die Another Day when Jinx dives off of the cliff backwards. B) It totally looks fake and unrealistic.

I agree; it's one of the highlights of Octopussy, and it goes a long way towards making the film look expensive. Personally, though, I think it's a damned shame it never cropped up in another Bond film again... B)

There are way too many to count.

"James I cannot find the words."
"Then allow me to expand your vocabulary."

Really?

I don't know which was worse: that clown outfit, or the ridiculous gorilla disguise that Moore just happened to get out of in a matter of milliseconds. B)

Agreed. I always LOATHED that line. But, as corny and stupid as it is, there ARE worse lines of dialogue we've seen.

I don't like the scene in QoS when Bond dumps Mathis's body in the trash. Bond would do that to an enemy but never a friend. And if the producers HAD to do a scene like that, then Bond should have used it to gain advantage in some way, which would play into Mathis in CR saying, 'Being dead doesn't mean one can't still be helpful.' Then I think Bond could genuinely say, 'He wouldn't have cared.'

I HATE the scene between Bond and Holly in Moonraker, where he just stands there, going through her belongings, making stupid quips.

"Not what I want to get stuck with tonight!"
"Ah I don't see the point! Ah now I do!"
"Daily diary.Fairly deadly diary."
" A trifle overpowering, your scent."

It's absoloutly disgraceful! It's like they sat down one day and thought "Hmmmm, I wonder how many stupid one liners we can fit in one scene!" B)

Honestly, sometimes I wish Bond would just keep his smartass remarks to himself!

I don't have a problem with those quips, honestly. I do have a problem with the "Take me around the world one more time," line. B) Has there ever been a worse line of dialogue in a Bond movie?

I'm not bothered by any of the lines, I don't have a problem with them. It's just the scene itself is horrific, because of the one quip after another thing.

I know what it's like... Austin Powers, after a villains death...

"That sort of thing could get a man FIRED."
"If I didn't know any better, I think he was HOT for you."

And several other stupid quips..

It's official...CBn is filled with repressed homosexuals! Lol!

I've seen attacks on Sophie Marceau, Halle Berry, Famke, Denise Richards, Gemma Arterton, etc...guys they are only there for window dressing. You know...play up their sex appeal? The fact that most of the above actresses' characters were played very toungue-in-cheek seems to have passed over you. I really couldn't care what Halle or Denise are saying...I'm too busy salivating over them. Someone actually criticized Halle's walk in the Ursalla Andress homage!!! What is wrong with you? You want Helen Mirren as the next Bond girl or what?

Officially, the most cringe-worthy moment of the whole franchise (and i'm not surprised over it's exclusion so far) is Craig coming out of the water...a scene that literally makes me puke. I hate everything that that scene is trying to say. By far the worst of the series (obviously the women would disagree). Let Bond sell his sex appeal, not his personal trainer. Absolutely pathetic.

Agreed, just cringeworthy. I'm not against Bonds showing skin when there is also a WOMAN in the shot, but here the camera focusing solely on shiny Dolphin Boy was nauseating. I'm guessing that was one of looney Babs' wishes.

QOS- GF homage

QOS- ripping the handle off the door, although it is kind of cool in the theatre I said "Ok you've had enough."

MR- "Do you know him?" "Not socially, his name's Jaws he kills people."

MR- "Take a giant step for mankind."

DAD- "Read this, bitch!"

DAF- Wint and Kidd holding hands, I never knew they were supposed to be gay until years later but I just feel it had no point, that doesn't help that they are two of the strangest villains in the series I think.

Read this, bitch! has to be one of the most hated lines here.

Personally I love it. I don't think the way it's said is said in an "Oh look at me I'm so contemporary, ghetto and hot." way. Surprisingly for Halle Berry's character, it's said with quite a bit of emotion and, for me, it sounds exactly like it would if the situation had happened for real.

Not that that could ever happen. What with the whole ice palace and sun-powered satellite beam.

One of the moments that I cringe at would be the "Now get your clothes on and I'll buy you an ice cream!" line from For Your Eyes Only. I always think of To Catch a Predator during that scene although the young Bibi is attempting (and failing) to seduce James.

Just thought of one:
In Diamonds Are Forever, Blofeld shows up in the taxi dressed up as a woman. B)
What the f[censored]? Were the producers just running out of ideas? Blofeld looks absolutely HIDEOUS in "drag."
