OHMSS- Bond in the stupid kilt and wearing that awfull shirt in the casino! The bring me nightmares!

Bond should definitely have worn a kilt more often, although I can't quite see Craig suiting the look.

Why's that? He's not scottish!

Well, half-Scottish, half-Swiss.

So half likes a good roll and the other half.....?

Craig in a kilt B) Good lord, I hope that never comes up.

Any running scenes with Brosnan. He makes a meal out of them.
His face, his high pumping hands...

Now I happen to like Brosnan. I think he gets way too much stick on here for saving the series (most of which we can ignore). But the run... ah, the run... I'm afraid I have to agree with you.

And it's funny but I rewatched North By Northwest at the weekend. Great movie. Grant and Hitchcock at their considerable bests. But watch that scene where Grant is running from the crop-duster and you see, dammit, what Brosnan was doing; he was trying to copy Cary Grant's run. I know one critic once described Brosnan (not unfairly, in my book) as our age's Cary Grant. But copying his run...?

Oh yes, North by NorthWest..that run. High arm pumping action..all the same. Good observation and a good point that sometimes "classic" things need to left as original. B)
Maybe it's the face Brozzer pulls like he's trying to blow up those long rubber balloons that hardly anyone can and chuck away.

Back to another cringe fest is anything to do with Christmas Jones. When I heard it was about "laying a pipe line" down I expected something a little more than a frosted Barbie Doll walking around like she couldn't put two pieces of Meccano together and had about as much curb appeal and delivery technique as, well a curb.
And of course...that line at the end of the film.
Was everyone on acid?

Any bad CGI scenes.

Any running scenes with Brosnan. He makes a meal out of them.
His face, his high pumping hands... B)

Yes, but DC's running in Casino Royale (the airport scene in particular) is also quite weird and over-emphasised.

Really? Hadn't noticed.

Their styles are probably more similar than not, but the difference - and it's KEY - is that Craig appears to be running fast.

Brosnan appears merely to be trying to do so.

I agree. Craig runs like someone who has actually done track. Brosnan runs like he is trying to look like he runs track. Moore never actually ran. You would only see him slow down and stop. The worst runner (as much as I like him as Bond) was Dalton. He ran with his arms down to his side.

Other cringeworthy scenes

Brosnan's "Bond, James Bond" in GE. He says in in a soft voice, like he was waiting for the sky to open up and a heavenly chorus start playing. It was sooooo cheesy.

"Why don't you wait until you are asked..." from LTK.

All the diolague between Halle Barry and Brosnan sounds like it was written by a 10 year old boy.

Tanya Roberts clearly not understanding what she was saying talking about the fault lines in AVTAK.

Tarzan yell in OP

I love Famke in that film - she's soo sexy - but I think she would chew Pierce Bond up for breakfast and use his bones to pick her teeth with afterwards  As Bond there's no doubt Pierce is very handsome but in a very unsexy, unmanly way. He comes across as a preener. I don't find that sexy at all. Nor would Xenia if you ask me

I agree. Could you just imagine how the scene between Bond and Onatopp would have played out with Connery's Bond?

I can't believe that no one has mentioned the bit in OP when Rog leers at a secretary's cleavage with a video camera -- and then zooms in. Ewwwww.

Ian Fleming is rolling over in his grave at that one.

Okay. Here's my list:

Goldfinger: When James Bond shows up in that ridiculous blue suit (whatever THAT is...).
Diamonds Are Forever: I can't watch that movie. But there are two major parts that annoy me. (1) When Bond and Tiffany are on that "Aquarium bed" (:)), and (2) when 007 walks up to Blofeld's oil rig in that silver bubble. What, did he come over for a tea party???B)
The Man with the Golden Gun: I find that whole movie unwatchable. But the most unwatchable parts include J.W. Pepper () and Mary Goodnight... :)
Moonraker: "Take me around the world one more time" line.
A View to a Kill: Totally cringeworthy. All of the "love scenes" and all of Walken's scenes....:S
Quantum of Solace: Any scene with Strawberry Fields. And ALL of the chase scenes.

The snake scene in LALD.

I realize that the special effects weren't the same as today but...that snake is so obviously fake it just makes the whole scene look cheap and tacky.

My, you have sparked off some cringeworthy memories there and how could I forget Shhheann's powder blue terry towel billiard ball seperating hammock one piece with the belt so high up it should have been a necklace? (slaps forehead). :)

ewwwww, that part made Moore like an old dirty perv. By that time Moore was not sexy at all. I can believe if happened 20 years earlier ala "The Saint" but what woman in real life wouldn't find that offensive? I guess Moore had to compensate for his age. (i can't believe i'm taking this post seriously lol)

"When one is in Egypt, one should delve deeply into its treasures" - delivered by a 50 year old leering Rog about a barely legal starlet.

For me, there's no competition for the most cringeworthy - not to mention rather creepy - moment in the series.

Oh I love that line. A perfect delivery from Moore that always give me a good laugh. Moore looks good and the girl is hot as hell... of course Bond would stay and delve.

I'm afraid it makes Bond look like a perv and a kiddie fiddler to me.

A perv yes, but not a kiddie fiddler. Barely leagal is still leagal B) And as Reverend Lovejoy once said "Once something is leagal, it's no longer immoral". And we all know priests would never condone anything involving underage sex.

I would have to agree with you here. North by Northwest is one of my favourite films, and Grants running style away from the cropduster is very erect trunk and graceful running action. And yes, are you thinking of the popular still where Bond and Natalya are escaping the Train, Brozzas face (just by the expression) looks as though it is going to explode also. I still think Brozza was in pretty good shape especially in TND.

Going back to the Cringe, I do think, although its one of my favourite Bonds and all, that some of OHMSS has some cringe in it, sort of force feeding the audience, like the lines between Bond and Tracy, "You know your perfume, anything else" and Bond says "A little about women" When Connery says it in TB its great, here, I dunno sounds cringy.

Any scene involving Sophie Marceau in THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH.. "the oil pumps through my veins".... (EURGH!!)... "soon M will be...everywhere".... (EURGH!!) and all that faux Stockholm stuff. Turgid and dull. And a wasted opportunity for really crafting a female nemesis to Bond.

He might have been 50, but looks like he is 35-40 in TSWLM. I love that line.

I cringe every time Roger "seduces" a girl in AVTAK. As much as I love the guy's performances and as charming as he is, there is no way I can buy him as a womanizer in that film.

Octopussy would have been great, and I mean absolutly great without:
- Tarzan yell
- gorilla suit
- crocodile disguise
Now I like it, but it could have been much better without these unnecessary aspects which make it too much self parody.

Same thing with Moonraker and the "Bondola".

Too much nonsense in Diamonds Are Forever too, more then in Moonraker or Octopussy. ("Tell him he is fired.")

Tanya Roberts in A View to a Kill: "James!"

Last half of Die Another Day with the crashing plain climax and the CGI wave is worse though.

AVTAK is one long cringe-a-thon, I remember feeling quite numb after watching Bond and MayDay together. B)
One reason why I am against these "cameo" roles by people. It doesn't work, never worked and ludicrous when there is some great fresh talent out there in the acting world.

Yeah. There are some things in Octopussy that are groan-inducing (like the Tarzan yell and the gorilla suit), but it's not OVERLYdone. It's more done in View to a Kill.

As for the "Bondola," I didn't have a problem with it until I saw the pidgeon double-take. WHAT WAS THAT?!?! It just ended the reality of the movie for me. B)

Here's the worst from every film:

DN: The scene with the maid after Bond and Honey Ryder are captured. "Come in, come in! The good doctor is expecting you!" Irritating in that she's being so chipper when Bond and Honey are scared as heck!

FRWL: Can't think of anything here.

GF: The whole "you can turn off the charm, I'm immune" speech by Pussy Galore.

TB: Not that this bugs me that much since special effects were not perfected in the 60's, but the horrible special effects during the final fight scene, set against the screen of a sped up film!

YOLT: Any scene where Connery looked like he was sleeping! :)

CR67: Ummmmm...EVERYTHING!

OHMSS: "He's branched off!" After fighting Blofeld on a speeding bobsled for two miles, does Bond even have the breath to utter that most obviously dubbed in line?!

DAF: I know this film is loathed by many here, but I found it enjoyable for the comedic aspect of it, being the only Connery film he played for laughs. But I still have to ask this: Just what the heck is a "bathosub"?! :S Also any scene with the least threatening Blofeld in Bond history!

LALD: "Ahh, Mr. Bond, we've been expecting you! Two glasses for our guests!" This scene was parodied brilliantly in the first Austin Powers movie! Self-explanatory.

TMWTGG: Bond "grabbing" the thigh of the sumo wrestler at Hai Fat's mansion. GROSS!!! Also Goodnight's rear "activating" Scaramanga's laser machine near the end of the movie.

TSWLM: The scene between Commander Carter and Anya regarding her gender.

MR: Pretty much everything, but the worst of the worst: Any scene with Drax just standing around and not killing Bond once and for all. Also apparently Bond is an expert in EVERYTHING, as he is now a Biology expert knowing the name of a rare South American plant just by looking at it's biological formula! Also the infamous pigeon "doubletake" scene!

FYEO: BiBi Dahl. Enough said!

OP: The whole bomb diffusion scene, particularly, "Oh, of course there's a bomb there! Where else would a bomb be?!" Nice to know our American armed forces take their job seriously! B)

NSNA: Another film I enjoy more than most, but with one glaring set of cringeworthy moments: Kim Basinger!

AVTAK: "And I'm Dick Tracy and your still under arrest!" Pathetic! Also Stacey Sutton tryyyying to soounnnnd smmmaaarrrttt by over emp-ha-sizzzinng evvverrry syllllaaabblllle! Not good!

TLD: Any scene with Brad Whitaker.

LTK: Dialogue on boat between Bond and Pam Bouvier. As someone already mentioned here, it sounds like it was written by a soap opera writer!

GE: I second the nomination of Xenia Onatopp as one of the most annoying characters in the history of movies, not just the Bond series!

TLD: Much of the last third of the film.

TWINE: "Can you put that in English for those of us who don't speak spy?" :)

DAD: Not much more than already has been said here, but I find the scene where Graves kills his father not only cringeworthy, but highly creepy and disturbing, especially when he makes that smirk! Any scene with the smart alack Damian Falco! Also, can someone please explain to me why Miranda Frost is wearing only a bra top at the end? Was she working out on the plane or something? I don't get it!

CR: Bond's perfectly feasible and physically impossible sommersaut from the top of the moving tank into the front window during the Miami airport chase! Yeaahhhhh, riiiggghhttt! :S

QOS: Any scene with Greg Beam. This guy was even more arrogant than Damian Falco in DAD, if that's even possible!

I'm sure there are plenty of others that I will think of that have not been mentioned yet. :|

"Especially when you're baaaad." from DAD.
Come to think of it, the entire climactic fight with Graves as well as the Jinx/ Miranda fight.
