Any bad CGI scenes.

Any running scenes with Brosnan. He makes a meal out of them.
His face, his high pumping hands... B)

Yes, but DC's running in Casino Royale (the airport scene in particular) is also quite weird and over-emphasised.

Really? Hadn't noticed.

QOS - M removes her make-up (absolutely disgusting), parachute jump

I completely agree with you about the make-up removal. It is cringe-worthy.

????

I really don't get what you find disgusting there?

Because it looks like she's attacking her face with a scouring pad. And she just looks greasy as well, and all red, and just...blah!

Er, that's what older women look like when they're removing their make-up. Better get used to it...

Hahaha! Well I hope it'll be a while before I witness it in the flesh!

A good example of it is right before he spots the dead tanker driver. Just before that there's a shot of him sprinting along, and (to me) it just looks a tad strange. Not taking anything away from the great DC though. Top quality Bond.

GE : Any of the sex or "sexy" scenes involving Xenia Onatopp. I like Famke Janssen and all, but this character is an absolute misfire as far as I'm concerned.

DAD : The aforementioned bad dialogue when Bond meets Jinx, and the just as bad dialogue in the final scene, oh and the soft pørn slo-mo Honey Ryder homage.

Ah I had forgotten this one! Halle Berry walked in such a weird manner in this scene... She looked like her hips and her upper bodies were not really connected together, or were about to dislocate B)

PS: could someone tell me why everybody spells "pørn" with a Danish or whatever o, "pørn"? (EDIT: OK, got it, it's because the weird ø is transformed automatically by the auto-censor, but then: why is it so? I mean I understand why 4 letters words are tranformed into "censored" icons, but here I can't see the point. Does it have to do with search engines?)

Their styles are probably more similar than not, but the difference - and it's KEY - is that Craig appears to be running fast.

Brosnan appears merely to be trying to do so.

Everything listed has been pretty good.

QoS - You and I had a mutual friend? How does anyone get that out while dropping on the hood of a car! How about - for MATHIS... blam! or " ow my foot... blam!"

AVTAK - every line - although the best - When Stacey Sutton starts going geological on us - something about the fault lines for maximum effect....sure I believe you.

Octopussy - Louis Jordan, repeating again and again ... "Octopussy, octopussy".... BARF

OHMSS - "Beluga! North of the caspian"... Thanks James - now we know just how cultured you are...

DAD - you mean the ice surfing wasn't real?? Thanks for ruining it for the rest of us

I could go on all day, but these are just the ones that stick in my mind - Great thread.!

Brosnan's pain face: When he's in pain, he's in "pain", and you can tell he's trying to emote with every fibre of his being but still comes across as unconvincing. B)

Anything with Halle Berry. Already said in another thread that I always thought what was supposed to be an homage to the most legendary Bond Girl (next to Christmas Jones B) ) jk Ursula Andress turned into "Look kids, it's Halle Berry" and we were supposed to clap madly, and try to propose marriage to her, or offer to cut off our hands just because she was there. As you can tell, I am not a big fan of Hella Bighead. Also, JW was not bad in Live and Let Die, but I wish they did not bring him back for The Man with the Golden Gun.

Any scene with JW Pepper in it makes me cringe!

Oh, and of course, the parasail scene in DAD (it's become a classic, but not in a good way).

I agree. i can't believe it took someone so long to mention Sheriff Pepper.

I'm also going to mention Denise Richards' lines of dialouge in TWINE (especially the scene where Bond and Christmas Jones are trying disarm the bomb in the pipeline) where she tries so hard to make herself believable, it's just pure laughter.

Your first point is really interesting as I also don't like thoise scenes but for the exact opposite reason. I love Famke in that film - she's soo sexy - but I think she would chew Pierce Bond up for breakfast and use his bones to pick her teeth with afterwards B) As Bond there's no doubt Pierce is very handsome but in a very unsexy, unmanly way. He comes across as a preener. I don't find that sexy at all. Nor would Xenia if you ask me

I’ve got to list the QoS freefall scene. I just wish they didn’t have this silly, unbelievable effects based moment in what was a gritty outing.

"When one is in Egypt, one should delve deeply into its treasures" - delivered by a 50 year old leering Rog about a barely legal starlet.

For me, there's no competition for the most cringeworthy - not to mention rather creepy - moment in the series.

"That should keep you in curry for a few weeks."

Just a ridiculous line. The "delicatessen" incident being another example of bizarre writing in the early 1980s.

The California Girls snowboarding scene from AVTAK.
Ditto the scene at the racecourse, simply because they've wheeled out the old faithful for a scene together. It makes no sense whatsoever for Q and Moneypenny to be there and its a fairly frightening line up, when you think that the cream of MI6 in that scene have a combined age of (being generous) about 300 years old..
Similarly, I generally watch the scene where Bond and Mayday are removing the bomb from the mine, through my fingers. Primarily because of Grace Jones's acting

Any of the "comedy" double-takes, or reactions, from animals (TSWLM, MR,OP,FYEO etc)

M's "Basil Exposition" impression in TMWTGG ("Coal and Oil will soon be depleted, yes I know all that" etc etc etc)

Oh I love that line. A perfect delivery from Moore that always give me a good laugh. Moore looks good and the girl is hot as hell... of course Bond would stay and delve.

I LOATHE and cringe long and hard at that establishing shot of Felix's Wedding reception from LTK, ESPECIALLY when you can see that little gnome like man in a beard dancing to that steel drum muzak. UGH! The pits of 007.

You all seem to bang on about the CGI from DAD, as though that is the film's SOLE problem. I don't care what any of your fanboy revisionism insists, that film is the worst of all the 007 films by some margin. It flatlined the series, and it is a deep well for the cringiest moments in the Bond franchise. Let me mention a few cringe moments from that stinker:

The redesign of the gunbarrell sequence

Bond MTV surf opening to pretend drum and bass music

The needless, unthrilling explosive opening

"Saved by the bell"

DAD song over that title sequence- enough to drain morale from any die hard 007 fan, it's so depressingly crap

"Directed By Lee Tamahori" special credit

That totally UNBONDIAN, CSI Miami style montage of Bond having a cardio arrest.

M now apparently a completely different character to woman from TWINE and all previous Bond films

Brosnan reduced to dressing as Hagrid in Pajamas, walking through a very badly directed and highly artificial looking hotel lobby.

"What a mouthful!"

The sex scene from Top Gun for some reason, albeit with the shortest intercourse this side of "Halloween", and the phoniest orgasm on the planet. I felt embarrased to be a Bond fan watching this at the cinema (not that it's an exception to the rest of the film's quality)

Jinx looking awkward and unsexy running around with that table cloth wrapped around her hips.

Jinx falling off a cliff to escape

The Aston Martin roaring around some plexiglass and dry ice on the 007 stage

Bond and Jinx on techno flying contraptions

"I broke her heart!"

I'm afraid it makes Bond look like a perv and a kiddie fiddler to me.
