I LOATHE and cringe long and hard at that establishing shot of Felix's Wedding reception from LTK, ESPECIALLY when you can see that little gnome like man in a beard dancing to that steel drum muzak. UGH! The pits of 007.
You all seem to bang on about the CGI from DAD, as though that is the film's SOLE problem. I don't care what any of your fanboy revisionism insists, that film is the worst of all the 007 films by some margin. It flatlined the series, and it is a deep well for the cringiest moments in the Bond franchise. Let me mention a few cringe moments from that stinker:
The redesign of the gunbarrell sequence
Bond MTV surf opening to pretend drum and bass music
The needless, unthrilling explosive opening
"Saved by the bell"
DAD song over that title sequence- enough to drain morale from any die hard 007 fan, it's so depressingly crap
"Directed By Lee Tamahori" special credit
That totally UNBONDIAN, CSI Miami style montage of Bond having a cardio arrest.
M now apparently a completely different character to woman from TWINE and all previous Bond films
Brosnan reduced to dressing as Hagrid in Pajamas, walking through a very badly directed and highly artificial looking hotel lobby.
"What a mouthful!"
The sex scene from Top Gun for some reason, albeit with the shortest intercourse this side of "Halloween", and the phoniest orgasm on the planet. I felt embarrased to be a Bond fan watching this at the cinema (not that it's an exception to the rest of the film's quality)
Jinx looking awkward and unsexy running around with that table cloth wrapped around her hips.
Jinx falling off a cliff to escape
The Aston Martin roaring around some plexiglass and dry ice on the 007 stage
Bond and Jinx on techno flying contraptions
"I broke her heart!"
