This is definetly the most underrated Bond film and one of Moore's best. The plot is the best since ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE and the set deceration was the best outside of Ken Adam. The only two things that really let me down was General Orlov who was a silly sterotype of a Russian general and Octopussy herself who was wooden and forgetable. Kamal Khan was a great compliment to Moore's Bond, just as smooth and witty. Gobinda was also quite the henchman and is right up there with Odd Job and Grant.
QUANTUM OF SOLACE
I still enjoy the film alot and I appreciate the stuff I love even more. When Bond was running out of the opera house, the shoot out was brilliantly tense and exiciting. Daniel Craig still is my number one Bond and I thought I'd never say I actually like him more then Connery. Unfortunetly, I still have my reservation on the action such as the car chase and dog fight. The quick cutting was very annoying and you never soak in those scenes.

Thunderball.... Claudine Auger is so sexy......
Absolutely. My all time favorite Bond girl. Rather well written (maybe not the greatest character, but still) and just so darn sexy.
As for me, well, the Bond adventure of the moment, Quantum of Solace, flaws and all.

It contains one of the best lines in a Bond film:
Helga Brandt: I've got you now
Bond: Well enjoy yourself

I also got to watch The Spy Who Loved Me on a digital master in Pinewood theatre this october, followed by an evening with Sir Roger Moore. That was a viewing experience!

YOLT has always been one of my least favourites but really enjoyed this time around. Probably because its been so long since I saw it last I'd forgotten the good bits!

Great Bond movie, with some good fights, especially between Bond and Onatopp and Bond and Trevelyan. Very underrated brutality from Brosnan here (his swift hand to the back of Onatopp's head is notable and his look of disgust).
Interesting score, but would love to have heard a John Barry or David Arnold version.

Look, I’ve got a soft spot for this flick. There’s great dialogue, a great villain, a lovely paradise island and that fabulous funhouse. I also enjoy it for Moore’s performance. I love his mannerisms; cigar smoking and being generally unflappable and quite cruel. I think he looks his best age wise as well.
