Just a thought, would anyone think it'd be cool to have DC walk out to no music, just the sounds of his shoes walking against hard floor, then as soon as he fires, the Bond music kicks in?

I think that could work - different, sudden, and serious. I wouldn't mind it - it may or may not work. I'd be just as happy with a classic Bond gunbarrel.

That's how it was in Dr. No. well there was a sort of music in there, before the theme. But something eerie like that would be cool.

What worked in Casino Royale will not work in this film, it will look lame and stupid.

And yes, it's pretty much been confirmed.

I don't want to read too much of the Craig and Forster interview as I am avoiding spoilers but can someone tell me if Forster mentioned that the gunbarrel will be at the very beginning?

Thanks for your help.

A: Yes, the Gunbarrel will make a return.

Hope that helps. :(

I didn't find anything mentioned about it in any of the interviews.
DaveBond21, don't worry, there weren't really spoilers in the interview.

If you read my above post, Forster did state in an interview that the gunbarrel will indeed be back. :(

Yes, it has been flat out confirmed. That's that. No need to worry about that aspect.

Confirmed, plus there was a photo posted on Bond.com of a Craig stand-in, dressed in tux, rehearsing for camera and lighting against a white cyclorama which is what they shoot the Bond walk, turn and shoot against.

"The film returns to the traditional gun barrel opening shot, which was altered into part of the story for Casino Royale."

I just realized (yes, just now!) that the Dr. No gunbarrel technically also segued into the titles, although CR is still the only one to work it into the story as you point out.

Great, and did they confirm that it includes the traditional walk across the screen or not yet?

Thanks.

Yea, it looks illegitement. And personnaly i kind of think the classic gunarrel theme is a bit old fashion. I would prefer it , if they workerd a gun barrel sequence in like CR.

I see two possible gun barrell shots for DC,
one, he walks to the centre of the screen then runs towards the target and starts to beat the crap out of the viewer :(
or two, while walking centre he loads and cocks his weapon, turns and fires a double tap.

Near the begining of the another way to die there is a different type of gunbarrel sequence, i think that that is the one in the movie. check it out for your self.

I hope this isn't the gunbarrel used. It looks a little.... tacky? I dunno how to describe it.

Not likely unless the first thing we see is a drum kit.

Bloody hell i hope they don't use the gun barrel design from the music video, it just looks...fake? Too computerised?! If that's even a word.
And i hope they sort out the blood dripping effect too, i thought in CR it looked too thick, fake even.

It will probable stay pretty much true to Binder's original concept, only minor adjustments. It's the music that makes the difference IMO. I hope David Arnold will give it punch, speed and swing.

Agreed. I'm pretty sure it would be for the music video only.
