I think it's highly unlikely that we'll see the trailer before next week. I'd actually expect it to be released on June 30th or July 1st, which would be in keeping with standard studio trailer release patterns.

Here's how it goes :

JUNE : all work stop because holidays are coming next month

JULY : half the country on holiday

AUGUST : the other half on holiday. The july people are back, but it takes them a month to get to work again.

SEPT : everyone's back, but since the august people are taking a month to get into work again, the july people also lay low and slow.

OCTOBER ; work starts again.

Surely no country can be this great?

Yes. I'm really interested in Bond since the summer of 2006, so the trailer was already there and I didn't have to wait for it. Now, I'm waiting and I'm excited!

Ah, I see. I've always loved Bond movies since I was a kid, but I really became a big fan in 1999, when all of them were shown every week on British TV (ITV). Then, in November 2002, I registered here for a bit, as I became an even bigger fan, and then from October 2005, when I re-registered, I became an even bigger fan. I was really excited about the Casino Royale trailer but I think I am even more excited about seeing this one!

I guess I was probably looking forward to the CR trailer more... simply because it had been so long since a Bond film... it was a new Bond... it was a new overall style.

still, other than the Star Wars Ep 3 teaser (and CR), this is probably the trailer that I'm most looking forward to.....

Yeah I think the CR trailer had more anticipation around it because of all the fuss and uncertainty people had about Craig. It was much more of an unknown. This time round, there's less of a mystery factor, we know what Craig is like as Bond and we've seen a lot of behind-the-scenes clips already.

It definitely had the combination of a four-year wait and a new Bond introduction going for it. That's hard to top.

Here's how it goes :

It should be pointed out that in december, all work stop, and january, is the month to get into it again, and that in may, what, Cannes, lots of national off days.

It leaves only FEB/MARCH/APRIL and OCT/NOV to do any work in France, and there goes your whole year. Records are released in either of those months. You miss one of those windows, you're done. One year wasted.

And no-one goes to the cinema or online in those months, do they?

You are correct, there are three days left before its June 23. But what does this have to do with anything?

Actually the trailer is already on the Quantum of Solace website. All you have to do is go on the website and while it's loading (with that annoying circle/lock thing) is take a hammer and a nail and hammer the nail through the exact middle of the lock. That unlocks the trailer. I had to give it a couple of tries before it worked for me.

Well the quarters end on Sunday. And there is a two day break on Monday and Tuesday before the semi-finals. So it has to be on Monday
