Surely there must be other clips they can put in trailers? I think there's only maybe about two shots in that one we haven't seen before.

Spielberg's being stingy with the footage. He's said as much in interviews. He still wants as little of this film to be seen beforehand as possible.

Well that's fine, but why bother making all these trailers if it's just to put what we've already seen in slightly different orders?

Well thats cool, hey has everyone seen all the new tv spots on the official site? Some of them are really good and if you're looking for new footage there's a lot.

Top review, by the way- thanks for posting. Obviosuly I'm going to cling to the good ones, but everything that guys says makes sense- especially the Rocky stuff; that's just what I was thinking. I don't want navel gazing and pontificating on the nature of getting older- that's not the job of this genre (and heaven knows we've seen it enough). You can't ignore it, and the Wrath of Khan mention makes good sense. It's going to be a fun film.
The CGI stuff always confused me too- Indiana Jones movies always used state of the art special effects; I've been curious to know why they wanted to deny that they were going to do the same with this one.

And his mention of Nazis interests me; obviously the Russians are the bad guys, but why is the Nazi motif from Raiders in one of the tracks on the soundtrack? A flashback or something?

I am a little dubious of all the reviews, positive or negative. I doubt anyone not involved with the production has seen the completed movie at this point. I just remember all the fake reviews of Casino Royale that came out about a month before the movie was released and how bad they say the movie and Daniel Craig is.

Actually, we do know for a fact that the movie screened (twice, once on the east coast and once on the west coast). So, while not all of these reviews are necessarily legit, odds are a few of them are.

Based on all the little bits of plot info that have leaked out recently, I think this film's probably going to turn out alright.

Love TV Spot 7.

I really think the movie is going to be a lot of fun. I have tended to steer away from the negative reviews as AICN always seems to have angry people review movies. After 19 years I know it's going to be fun and the TV spots are a lot of fun. There is a great interview with Ford on www.theraider.net. He seems to be thrilled to be talking about Indy again. I have bought my tickets already.

I'm disappointed by the only 'moderate action violence.' Hopefully St. Steven S hasn't cleaned up his act too much. But, keeping it real, I suppose another still beating heart plucked from a human chest would be too much to ask for.

Wellllllll. I'm seeing far fewer references to Ford's age, Spielberg's 'old-fashioned' action style, or Lucas's 'has-been' status. I'll be there, I'm confident, blown away to the back of the theater as I was with Raiders...

I've just found the score online and I am not impressed with it! Its so light hearted and repetitive. Quite a let down. Not at all memorable, a few good bits though. There are also some moments where you're convinced the Indy theme is gonna make an appearance, and it doesn't.

Plus 'The Adventures of Mutt' is just plain disgraceful.

There is no theme throughout the score when Indy does something Indy-esque.... and its really dissapointing because of that. The theme is in but its not the exploding score from the first three movies, all it is is just a few bars and then some other music. the only time we get a full blown track is 'The Journey to Akator', but i pressume he's just travelling to another country. Plus there is no 'Marion Theme' either, only at the finale, I would of expected hints of it when they first meet again, but there isn't even that.

And marktmurphy, I tried to send you the links but your inbox is full.

TV Spot 10 is up on the official site btw.

Sorry, yes- made a bit of space now. And if it's just the Raiders March you're after, it's worth remembering that it only really appears very occasionally in the original three scores when you listen to them; as soon as it appears it's gone very often.
