Thanks.I didn't realize Dom Deluise was in this.

I know he isn't, but man the image on the left side of the poster is a dead ringer for him.

The poster's adequate. I'm not overly impressed or unimpressed. It definitely has the Indy feel, though there's something missing that I can't put my finger on.

The problem, for me, is that none of them look all that much like the people they're supposed to be.I think Indys pose isn't to good. Thats the problem.

The likenesses in this artwork by Steve Anderson are much better, IMO.

I don't think it has too many characters (previous Indy posters have had as many), it's just that it's rather generic. There's nothing about the composition that is particularly impressive, and none of the images are particularly gripping, either. It's a little "going through the motions." Compared to these classic posters, it just doesn't measure up:Yes, IMO there are a tad too many other characters on the posters, and a more visible "Indy Girl" would have helped
Yes. She is Soviet agent Irina Spalko.(I guess the S&M mistress-looking woman on the left, with the sword, is an antagonist?)

That's not the theatrical Last Crusade poster, this is:
I personally like the KotCS poster better.
As for the likenessses and the Steve Anderson art, well that's just a different art style. Anderson has gone for the ultra realistic, and it looks great, despite Mutt looking blank as if he were brain dead. Struzan's work is more glossy, polished and has a certain sheen to it, as if it is exploding of the page. Struzan is also kinder to the actors. I don't think it's that his likenesses are 'off', it is just a different stylistic dicision.
Anyway some geekgasmic news: another Indy trailer may be on the way this week.

I know. But it's the best LAST CRUSADE poster. I'm just pointing to Struzan's earlier work. That's not the theatrical Last Crusade poster
They exist within a genre, but they aren't supposed to be boring. The posters and films should be as exciting as possible. And the films are MEANT to be "generic" as are the posters. That's sort of the point, isn't it?

Also worth mention is that, through some glitch, the cast bio section is now visible. As a result, we know that Ian McDiarmid is in the film as Professor Levi, and that John Hurt is playing
