Yep, Simon, the magazine ads have hit the shelves here in Australia. Mr Craig will be wearing the 42mm Planet Ocean in "Quantum of Solace".
Yippee!!

Vodka Martino

You da man!

Looks like this is the first and so far exclusive Forum w/ this information (I guess the others aren't as diligent w/ their so-called "inside sources" as some have claimed). My Blog is also updated w/ this information [link].

Of course, we won't even know for sure that this matter is settled until our own resident CBn enthusiast "Jim" steps up w/ an ad hoc Post here on the matter. :)

Yep, You da man VM! Guess we´ll be going to the cinema with our POs strapped around our wrist thinking...that guy Bond as a fine taste in watches :)
I haven´t seen the ads yet. Someone got a photo?

And Dell, that´s what I call fast news. You know, that site of yours is in my favourites, right next to Cbn.

Glad to see some closure on this. Now...of to look at the time, for the 100th time today :(

One such in the Sunday Telegraph. Craig looking to camera with his watch hand across his chest. Classy.

This one...? :(

Hmm, VM still on vacation here--

... I think it was merely a time-piece choice. Some days, I'll wear my Seiko to work (my store only sells Swiss-Made) and to hell with what anybody thinks. It's my watch, paid for with my money, strapped to my arm....

Just heard today that there is now at least a second interview related to Quantum of Solace hitting the newstand where there's reference to Daniel Craig's Rolex.

Will keep you posted--.

Omega SA (corporate) website is now up-to-date w/ "official" details and images of the watch Daniel Craig will wear as James Bond 007 in Quantum of Solace.

Of particular note is this reference: "When Daniel Craig reprises his role as James Bond in Quantum of Solace, he will be wearing an OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m Co-Axial Chronometer with a black dial (watch ref. 2201.50.00)."

So-- no blue, blue Seamaster of any sort of Quantum of Solace, eh?

Don't forget to check out the Wallpapers while you're there!

Will post some additional details to my Blog later tonight or tomorrow [link].

Oh no. Just when the Senate had backed the emergency economic measures and I was beginning to think the world was worth sticking around for, they go and do this. It's a scandal. Write them a stiff letter. Complain to the highest possible authority and then complain some more. And, frankly, putting upon him a 2201.50.00 is utterly disrespectful and I want them all dead, their families dead, everyone they've ever spoken to dead and this watch or whatever it is smashed in front of me and then fed back to their dogs. And then kill their dogs. Everyone knows it should be a 2202.50.00 and if you don't, then you're an idiot.

I am today (well actually it started a couple of days ago) a very sad man. To know that my PO 45 mm will no longer adorn the wrist of the worlds coolest “STD carrier” in the history of man and movies (well maybe Wilt Chamberlain had him beat, but not by much)(my comment is surely in jest, and hopefully will not offend anyone).

It appears Mr. Craig has indeed "little wrists" since I was sure from the picks that the watch size to wrist ratio indicated the PO 45 mm (given the Casino Royale precedent, and then the announcement of the PO 45 mm QOS Limited Edition had me convinced - I would have probably wagered my own PO on it). Notwithstanding, the election of the PO 42 mm makes much sense, given that it is easier to wear it under a cuff, than the PO 45mm (although I must say that given my profession I wear cuffs almost daily, and the PO 45 mm is wearable, not has some people in other forums claim).

Just one comment in regards to Omega, their promotional/advertisement department is not very accurate. In this months’ US GQ (the one with the über hotness Megan Fox on its cover), there is a paid promotion of the new James Bond watches (3 whole pages showing the Seamaster 300 m Limited Edition – PO 45 QOS Edition – PO 42 mm), where they supposedly show the PO 42 mm, and to any knowledgeable watch aficionado, the same is clearly a PO 45 mm (bezel shape, logo positioning and date window in the dial, etc.). How can a company like Omeeeega have a promotional department that can’t even clearly identify its own products????? Unbelievable!!!!

There is a beautiful full-page Omega ad with DC and his new black OP in the November issue of Golf Digest magazine.

There is also a 4 page ad in this month's GQ. It has the LE black/black SMP, the LE QOS PO. The black/black 42mm 2201.50.000 PO (that he will don in the movie) and the last page is the same photo we see on Omega's website, with the watch peeking through the bottom of the cuff. Enjoy! :(
