If they really need a Fleming-title, then RISICO is much better. It sounds cool enough for me (at least the way I pronounce it!). A little... mysterious.

Pronounced "Ree-sicko"? :D

I also think that Risico would make for a better Fleming title if they decide that they are indeed going to be going with a Fleming title, although I would love to see them go even deeper into Fleming's material and use a chapter title as inspiration for the title, and call Bond 22 A Whisper of Hate. I've always thought that that would make a fantastic Bond film title, although it probably will never happen.

titles doesn't matter, I had a friend who used to work in movie theaters, when the latest Van Damme flick would open, he would just say to the awaiting punters "for VAN DAMME" and they would get in line, whatever the title was. We always had a good laugh at that.

As for the above spoof take on the title, you are right on target : it allows to includes titles with the 00 lined up, reminiscing of CR logo titles. Just for that brilliant construction that you did, I think this may be the final title (as I always predicted).

The producers would be crazy to make a trilogy that does not include the same font titles, all lined up with a double 0 to had to 7.

The more I think of it, the more you are brilliant man !

I can't believe this is a thread. I mean as I get older, it becomes more and more appalling how many people eat regular cornflakes. Personally when it comes to supplying my body with the proper amount of vitamins and dietary minerals, I turn to Total. Total is a great cereal for the simple fact that it meets the USDA's recommendations for nutrition by supplying the body with vitamin C, calcium, iron, vitamin E, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B6, folic acid, vitamin B12, pantothenic acid and zinc. I mean to get all this you'd have to eat at least 20 bowls regular cornflakes. For Total though: 1 bowl, 100%. And it's only 100 calories. Switch to Total today.

:D
Seriously though, I can't believe this is a thread. Resisting... urge.. to delete....

It's already been referenced in Octopussy and that would bother me if TPOAL was the title...how about Quantum of Solace or something new? Anyway, I don't really buy this..."working title" anyone?

This was my top choice as well.. POAL (other than being mercilessly close to 'pole' as an acronym) seems far from the usual bond title.. I'm going for either "property of a killer" or "Ladies never Die" - Vesper is BACK FROM THE GRAVE :D

Anyway, I still vote for QAS (even the acronym is better hehe)

TPOAL sounds fine to me as a title. In fact I like it. It's Fleming but doesn't include any of the following words: Die (or variations thereof), Gold, never, tomorrow, day, another, love etc.

Wouldn't work because (as with "License Revoked") Americans would not understand it.

"The Property of a Lady" is a Fleming title, so if that's the one, I'm satisfied. Even if it does sound like a Richard Gere/Julia Roberts flick.

The Spy Who Loved Me sounds quite corny, as already pointed out. TPOAL is a perfectly good title.

Not saying that I'm buying the radio chat news...

Yeah. It sounds like the title of a mediocre romance novel (which is what it is, so I suppose the title fits).

TPOAL is a perfectly good title.

Yeah, it's not exactly a credible source.

Ok, I'm not to sure if this is right or not, but according to my local radio station which i was listening to this morning, whilst eating my cornflakes :D, all I heard on the radio was "Bond 22..... The Property of a Lady", and nothing more else was said on the subject, it could of been latest news, or just passing conversation. I'm not to sure. But I think we have a title. :P

Hang on a minute. You haven't been listening to The Gulshan Grover Breakfast Show again, have you?

Exactly. And people say "Are you going to see the new James Bond movie?", they rarely talk about the title.

Is that becaues the titles have tended to be laughable... or because it's James Bond. Or is it a chicken and egg thing?

Here in Sydney, some people didn't know how to pronounce Royale, and so they just said the new James Bond one with the new guy.

In general it's because it's Bond. And let's not get into Daniel Craig's chicken farm again.

How did some try to say it in Sydney? Is there some lack of French influence down under? Oh, then again, I guess that's a good thing!

Royal.

Not loads of French influence here. Plenty of British influence, hence the popularity of Bond, Rugby, Cricket, Pies and Beer.

Interesting. Well, that's not how most British pronounce it though. Am I right? or Wrong?
