Ok, I'm not to sure if this is right or not, but according to my local radio station which i was listening to this morning, whilst eating my cornflakes :D, all I heard on the radio was "Bond 22..... The Property of a Lady", and nothing more else was said on the subject, it could of been latest news, or just passing conversation. I'm not to sure. But I think we have a title. :P

Title edited to include word "possibly" given that as it stood, colossally misleading until/unless this is confirmed

That would be a terrible title for a Bond movie. It might work for a book, but not a movie.

This title would make sense considering the new film is kind of a continuation to Casino Royale.

But. Can we consider Vesper as a 'lady'?.

"The Property of a Lady" would be a good title... if Richard Gere was James Bond and Julia Roberts was his Bondgirl.

I have been advocating this title for BOND 22 since I read the script to CASINO ROYALE. If true, I'm very excited.

Better that restaceo or however the hell you spell it.. if I can't remember what it is as a huge fan, there's no way the average movie goer is going to remember or care!

Please God no!!!! So help me even I could come up with something better than that.

Oh well, so it looks like it all hinges on Vester's necklacy crossy love knotty thingy then.

Unless the property in question is her Croatian boyfriend. Or something else entirely different, that hasn't occurred to me.

Well Property of a Lady is the title to a Bond short story that Fleming wrote, but it was partially used in Octopussy.

Sounds to me like the radio station picked up on a Bond fan rumor.

Also, who is Vester?

This title wouldn't work in the U.S.

It would have to be changed, just like License Revoked was.

Half the population over here just has no idea what a "lady" is! :D

Wait, isn't Property Of A Lady the title of a Bond short story? I know I've read something with that name but I can't quite remember.

That is correct. Elements of the short story were used in the movie of OCTOPUSSY, namely the auction of a Faberge egg at Sotheby's.

The title is "CONFIRMED!".... Okay - not sure Cubby would have picked that one, but we'll see. I was holding out for BEYOND THE ICE II... no?

Joking apart, THE PROPERTY OF A LADY still has a suitable cadence to it - for all the obvious VESPER-related reasons. We'll see. I imagine we'll all be stumped and the knives will be out from some quarters whatever happens...

Jim also posted something about the Property of a Lady though if you scroll back a couple of pages, but I can't access the hyperlink so maybe he has heard the same news from a different source?

Is this the story that you saw about The Property of a Lady? It's actually referring to the sale of a Faberge egg in auction this week. Nothing to do with the movie sadly :D

Although its from Fleming - wouldn't be a good title and the plot has been used (as mentioned above in Octopussy). Also I thought that Marc Forster had already said it wouldn't be from the title of any Fleming short story (i.e. not this or Risico)?

Nope before it said TPOAL, Bond 22 was mentioned directly before it. :D

Oh and didn't all of us assume that Bond 22 Will Not have a title what sounds like the typical Bond Film? TPOAL does not sound very Bondian but I like it. :D

Jonathan Ross: You haven’t got a title?

Daniel Craig: I can’t tell you, really…

Ross: Will it harken back to any of the other titles?

Craig: …no. No it won’t…

Vester is actually typing error code for Vesper, I clearly don't read back my own posts! Also, I didn't know about the short story which is a surprise to me I thought I had heard of them all. So I withdraw my remarks, well maybe not some of Fleming's other titles have been a bit wet.

I thought perhaps Vester was the love child between Vesper Lynd and Uncle Fester from the Addams Family

Surely the love child of Vesper Lynd and Uncle Fester would be evil and bald... Wait a second... Blofeld?!

But that begins to make sense when you realise the pre title sequence is to be lensed in Cabot Cove.
