I'm fine with it, if it turns out to be true.

God I hope this ISN'T the title.. "The Property of A Lady" sounds more like an episode title of "Murder...She Wrote" or "Colombo"!! :D

Agreed. This is a fine title for a Bond short story, but NOT a Bond movie. With that said, I'm not going to boycott it or start "PROPERTYOFALADYNOTABONDMOVIETITLE.com" page if they go with this sad title for a movie.

Agreed.. I'm definitely going to see the film, no matter what the title ends up being.. I just wish we have some solid confirmation from EON soon about this.. I just hope they don't wait till production actually begins to announce the title of the movie.. I wanna know now!!!

Property of a Lady (if, in fact, that’s what B22 is to be called) will have the same impact on Bond as Craig’s hair did.

Exactly the same impact.

Actually, titles can effect the box office of a movie if it is perceived a certain way. The title sounds more like a chick flick.

That theory doesn't work for James Bond films. Average Joe goes into the theater and says, "Two tickets for James Bond, please" regardless of what its title is.

Of course, we Bond fans use the correct title and sometimes we even add a little:

"One for Casino Royale (2006) starring Daniel Craig as Ian Fleming's James Bond, please!" :D

Now, they'll have to say that if they give the title "Property of a Lady" to it. :D

I can see it now, "Two tickets to Prop...er...James Bond" please.

Actually, when I saw CR, I asked for two tickets to "Casino Royale". I don't trust the teenagers today who work the ticket booths to know anything above a 2nd grade level.

True story, after I saw Bourne Ultimatum, a teen working at Subway said, "Yeah, I want to see that movie too, but I think Jackie Chan is getting too old for action films."

'M' has her handbag pinched, and Bond travels around the world to recover it. :P

Honestly, I'll take a middle-of-the-road Fleming title over an uninspired original one any day of the week.

Here's the list of titles that had no relation to Fleming in any way:

- Licence To Kill
- Tomorrow Never Dies
- Die Another Day

Sense a pattern? :D

Well, if they name it "Property of a Lady" I predict that "Property of a Lady" will tank at the box office - just like Casino Royale tanked because Craig had blonde hair.

Awesome! I'm in. We'll need a second site up to get the movement running. Casinoroyaleprofitmarginallahoax.com

Okay, you're right. I got carried away. But I'm thinking "First they have a blond Bond, then they name the movie 'Property of a Lady' - what next? Bond wearing a pink silk shirt?" It's just all too feminine for me.

It's already been referenced in Octopussy and that would bother me if TPOAL was the title...how about Quantum of Solace or something new? Anyway, I don't really buy this..."working title" anyone?

Well, in all seriousness, I'm not overly fond of the title. I do in fact think it makes a good title for a Bond story, but perhaps not a fantastic name to have on a movie movie. Still, it wouldn't stop me from seeing Bond 22. I'm sure it wouldn't stop 99.999% of the people out there. There might just be the occassional Craignotbond type of person who will just be so emotionally distraught over the title that they will make a deal out of it...but so be it. I'd opt for another title if it were me, but that's me. What's MUCH more important is that Bond 22 be a great Bond movie. If that's the case, then, who cares about the name? If it's terrible, well, the name will just be one of the other things not to like about it. However, I'm guessing that even if it isn't up to CR's standards that it will still be better than the four Bond movies that preceeded it.

If they really need a Fleming-title, then RISICO is much better. It sounds cool enough for me (at least the way I pronounce it!). A little... mysterious.
