Raise a Pint to Mrs Moneypenny, she would have wanted that.

My condolences to her family. I knew Lois was Canadian, I had no idea she was born in Kitchener. I live in Waterloo (the NORTH half of Kitchener for those unaware, one big city), so that's interesting. It's a very iconic loss for the Bond community.

Very sad new indeed. My heart goes out to her friends and family.

Many men have been Bond. Although three (4 counting NSNA) women have portrayed Moneypenny, I'm sure everyone will agree that there is only 1 Miss Moneypenny.

What a very sad day! :`(

She was one of the first women I fell in love with. May she rest in peace now. She won't be forgotten. :`(

I'm glad Moneypenny wasn't in Casino Royale, and I hope the trend continues. Anyone other than Maxwell has been, and will be, only a disappointment. Her two replacements took Lois' character to two opposite extremes and the character suffered because of it. Lois Maxwell took a fringe Fleming character and made her seem like she had always been there.

Requiescat in pace.

This is awful to hear, soon after watching the James Bond Tribute on the Movie Awards, and such a shock to hear.

An invincible icon on screen and a wonderful woman in the flesh, she will be missed deeply but loved and remembered forever.

RIP Miss Moneypenny

Oh....Moneypenny...

What will we do without you?

Tears are actually falling on my keyboard right now.

She will always be the "gold standard" by which all Moneypenny's are measured.

RIP Lois.

Very sad news. My thoughts are with her family and friends. She was by far the best Miss Moneypenny and she will be missed. The Bond universe has lost an icon.

Always tragic to lose a member of the Bond family, especially one who's so prominent. As stated in the interview with Roger Moore, she was THE Moneypenny; no one could ever replace her.

RIP, Lois. You will be missed.

Lois Maxwell IS Moneypenny Forever. She has proven not to be difficult to replace....rather, impossible to replace.

Listening to Roger's tribute to her...you can feel pounds of flesh being cut from him. Roger was obviously having difficulty dealing with Lois' death.

I understand that she had cancer. I don't know if that was the cause of death. Regardless, it brings to mind something that Roger's ... Bond said when he discovered Vijay dead in Octopussy: "No more pain...No more pain."

RIP Lois Maxwell.

She was the best Moneypenny, and had amazing chemistry with the three Bond's she starred with.
