Just got around to watching episode 2. It had one of my new favorite lines...

(Sam gives Michael his birthday present)

Michael: "Beer... a 5 pack..."

It may not have been the strongest episode, but one of the joys of BN for me is that even the weaker shows are far better than just about everything else comparable on tv. Looking forward to the return of Seymour the arms dealer this season. Wonder when he'll show up.

When you compare BN to what else is on TV, you are right on. The meditation instructions from Fi were great. I'm sure we are going to see more of the cop who is after Michael. That has the potential for some fun down the road.

Appears they are already trying to build sexual tension with the lady cop. That will raise the hackles on Fi's back!

There is a good interview online with Jeffrey Donovan.

Warning: it contains mild season spoilers

Fine episode last night. The villain was a weird-looking wuss, but the henchman was a doozy and I look forward to Michael meeting up with him again, next time resolving their issues. Also, the new lady cop is getting under my skin. Go, new season, go.

He was the same villain as last seasons "Sin's of Omission"

I'm looking forward to next week, it looks like we might get a little bit more of Moon Bloodgood B)

Yes, I remembered him. I thought he was a weird-looking wuss back then too.: But I do think the henchman was a real step-up in terms of believability and menace. Could make for quite a fight scene.

Amusingly enough, I first saw Burn Notice while in Miami. It was bizarre watching the pilot on TV, then walking out and seeing production trucks line the streets.

Love the show, but I'm more of a casual watcher than anything..

Glad to see his character back on BN. It's interesting to see him play a bad guy versus character he played on The Shield. Everytime I see him, I think of that episode where Vic & crew bug his car & catch him singing "Hungry Like The Wolf."

LOL, yeah, classic Dutch. He was on that FX show Sons of Anarchy too, where he played another dark character.

Interesting article on Jeff Donovan in the latest TV Guide. I'd been thinking that his physique is far more appropriate for a spy than Craig's. Slenderish-looking, yet hard-looking and fit. I was fascinated, reading, to learn how he maintains it. At six-foot, he weighs 185 lbs and ingests 6000 calories daily while working out 3 hours a day, six days a week.

6000 calories...

Lsdt night's was a wonderful episode, but with one fatal flaw: a key character, a schizo off his meds, who did a very bad--and annoying--dead-on impersonation of Dustin Hoffman in Rainman. Never underestimate the power of a clueless and talentless actor to ruin the best of shows.

That physique doesn't come easy. At least not for the vast majority of people, and Donovan is apparently one of them.

It would have been a good episode except for that character. I find him horribly grating, far, far more than Rainman. I wanted to punch him in the face, so I was extremely pleased when the "real" Michael Weston did. I would have punched him far earlier, just because he wouldn't shut up and listen for ten seconds. I think that every once in a while the gang should actually turn somebody down, instead of this pretend brushoff that happens so often. It seems that Weston is too much of a "good guy" for his own good.

Whoops...

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — Miami Beach police say they arrested "Burn Notice" star Jeffrey Donovan on suspicion of drunken driving.

The arrest report says an officer pulled Donovan over on July 12 after noticing that he swerved his car to avoid hitting the police car from behind. When the officer approached Donovan, he reported that the actor's eyes appeared bloodshot and watery.

The arresting officer wrote he first noticed Donovan after hearing "a loud tire screech behind me." The cop said he saw Donovan's car swerve left to avoid hitting the police car.

When Donovan finally stopped, he didn't serve himself well when he said, "Sorry, I didn't see the red light or your stopped car."

The officer says he smelled a strong odor of alcohol, asked Donovan if he had anything to drink and got this answer: "I had three drinks at the Fontainebleau."

The actor of the popular USA Network series was arrested after failing a field sobriety test. The arrest report says Donovan refused to take a breathalyzer test.

The 41-year-old actor, who worked alongside actress Angelina Jolie in the 2008 film, "Changeling," was released several hours later on $1,000 bail.

His publicist declined to comment, and a phone message left with a network spokeswoman was not immediately returned.

It could be the fact that he is bloated after a long night? I hope he didn't do any work on his face. Now it's hard looking at most actors especially actresses without noticing the changes..........
Last season of Cold Case was hard enough considering the lead actress looked like one of the jokers experiments. I found that to be a great distraction.

Why are we all so obssessed with how actors and actresses look? Oh well . . .

Anyway, I saw tonight's mid-season finale. Quite a big moment for Michael's relationship with Fiona . . . and his attempts to rejoin the CIA.
