Bondian (you wanker...I miss you..Love to Carol and 003.5) Thank you for your comments and interest.

I miss you too, my friend. Next time you're over, we've gotta get to London to catch up on old times.

Carol says "hi, Charlie" - Alex says "my Daddies a real wanker, and you're James Bond". Shame some kids have yet to realise why I'm so proud to hold the distinction of being "A Real Wanker". The day will come when he takes longer to do his trousers up. Then he'll have much more regard for the distinction. :D

Cannot wait for this, my friend. :cooltongue:

Cheers,

Ian

Right back at Ya, you old git.

BTW, Alex's "girlfriend" Frances sends her love as well.

Had a grand night out with Zencat, Athena and Sir Paul last night in Burbank. Good times and lots of talk. Mostly Zencat and I. Sir Paul did a lot of laughing on a steady diet of Vodka on the rocks. Athena kept sipping her Cosmo, looking cute and said maybe 25 words. Yup, the "LA CBn Crew" rolling like we do. :cooltongue:

Well, I'm proofing chapter 1 right now.

We all have memorized the first lines of Casino Royale, so I tried to come up with something similar.

It works.

More to come and Joyce, watch your email. There may be something I need to pick your seasoned brain on.

Thanks again all.

A grand time indeed. I'm actually sitting here trying to find GUN CRAZY on DVD, because any film with a line like "Two people dead, just so we can live without working," needs to be in my soft hands.

I'm still laughing about Droopy, so it clearly wasn't the vodka laughing last night. It was my childlike sense of humor. Vodka just makes me fall asleep with exotic dancers -- and having thought that out, I'm not sure what that says about me.

Fair enough my friend. Bryce doesn't make much mention of his University years. It's when his parents died and he didn't run into 004 until his military service.

Thanks though.

As to my writing speed, well Joyce, all I can say is that the flood gates have opened and I'm swimming as fast as I can.

It says that you need to start alternating the vodka with some Redbull. None of the ladies were offended. Of course, the four that I was...er..juggling...jiggling..er...Aw crap.... :cooltongue:

ANYWAY *ahem* We'll make sure you pace yourself just a bit better next time. Presuming we don't have to arrange for bail for Zencat after he meets the one in her Snow White costume.

Ah, the things we do for CBn.

I *think* it means that instead of going out after work every night of the week I should probably take a few days to rest and catch up on my sleep. I didn't get "home" until around 4am and I had to be at work at 8am.

Or I could just pace myself -- although I thought I had a pretty good pace: order drink, take 5 minutes to drink drink, rinse and repeat. I may have a problem... BUT I CAN QUIT ANYTIME I WANT!

And, hell, even I'm excited for the Snow White thing -- albeit only marginally compared to zen.

Well put Sir Paul. :cooltongue:

Now, BOT.

Joyce - Thank you for the feedback per the first two paragraphs and you're thoughts on what I revealed.

Food for thought and the keyboard probably needs to cool down right now.

Chapter 2 is already flying:

The intro of Matt 004 via a phone call:

Bryce recognized the number on the phone's caller ID. He clicked the button and then barked into the handset.

"What do you want?!"

"A nice villa in Lisbon with two 20 year old Asian house girls in lingerie, but that's always been the dream." There was a familiar warm chuckle.

"Well, I knew that."

"You up to a real dinner or just completely tossed?"

"Indian?"

"Italian?"

"Greek?"

"German?"

"Are we talking about women or food?"

"I forget."

In unison they both spoke.

"Chinese."

Matthew O'Shawnassey chuckled again over the line and both agreed that Li Shan's above Leicester Square suited the bill. They decided on seven o'clock and Matt said he'd ring ahead. Bryce headed for the bathroom and a much deserved and needed shower.

Damn....This is getting fun.

You will make it out here my friend. Miss Bellucci is anxiously awaiting another night of laughter with Carol.

That will leave us to keep downing pints and breaking into chorus' from Gilbert & Sullivan again. :cooltongue:

The work continues this grey morning in LA.

Chapter 3 has begun and yet another staple of Bryce has been established.

Heh-heh...

Aside from the comfort of his home, Bryce had been missing yet another creature comfort. In one fluid movement he pulled the cover off and placed it on the work bench at the rear of the smallish garage.

The Jaguar gleamed under the dim overhead lights and, although having sat for nearly three weeks, roared to life with barely a turn of the key. The gauges all read as they should and soon the 4.2 liter DOHC six cylinder engine was gently ticking over. It was a 1984 Series III and, although nearly twenty-three years old, still could hold it's own with any contemporary sedan. Even more so given some of the Quartermaster's "refinements".

Bryce opened the sunroof halfway and the strains of a Count Bassie tune filled the car from it's four balanced Alpine speakers. He clicked the remote for the garage gate and as it open, he grabbed the central T-bar gear lever and slid the car into Drive and accelerated smoothly up the ramp from under the building and out into the street. Within ten minutes he was gliding over the Vauxall bridge with the HQ building looming in front of him.

Yeah, I'm loving this.

Maybe we could hit Hollywood with "when the foemen bears his steel". Or, "is there not one maiden breast". :D

If we get arrested, we could always end up in that jail we visited briefly last year. lol

I shaved down there once with Carol's intervention. Afterwards, that area was very itchy. Maybe I should just let then go grey and call them "Albush Dumblesore". :D

As for #2, well, that's always been a problem with the neighbours. :D

Three chapters done, but 003 is just dealing with the loss.

Revising some of it now, but yeah, it's been a bit sad and dark for Bryce. He's had to make burial arrangements and have the body sent back to London. However, it's being sent to the MI6 coroner first. Something's not right.

There's also another discovery on her laptop.

It's going to be a heart-wrencher.

and this is only the beginning.

Onward.

Now santa, if you think I'm spilling too much, stop reading. These are more updates and there won't be any more excerpts. Besides, what have I "given away"? The tease states that Bryce loses someone, but as to how it all unfolds, well, just wait for it.

I'm hoping to have it ready for all by November 11th.

The work continues.

Well, work continues despite Casa Bryce becoming the CBn "Home for wayward spies" over the last seven weeks - Mccartney007 (safely now on his way home to South Dakota), Joyce (safely back in Amsterdam), 004 (safely in a gutter somewhere near a pub), [dark] (safely trying to keep the room from spinning) - all visiting and the craziness that was DTBB2.

It's quiet and I *believe* my sleep schedule is slowly correcting itself.

On into chapter seven ("Step by Step") and 003 is in Madrid following a lead which will quickly lend itself to a footchase. By chapter ten, It'll be time for a rest and review of everything.

I've been enjoying it though and blaring various Bond soundtracks for the mood. This may be the one bit of Fan-fic that comes with a suggested playlist of tracks for each chapter. :cooltongue:

It's nice to get the vibe flowing again and some of the last weeks events and conversations (including Joyce and I watching the sun come up after talking all night - thanks luv!) have certainly lent themselves to the process.

Sounds very promising - and I like the idea of suggested soundtracks - I usually have Bond playing in the background when I read Fleming and the right album makes a big difference.

Welcome back to the normal world (until the red phone rings!).
