"Though the genitals of the actor (Craig) remain unseen the rest of him is fully visible, pubic hair included."
Lol, didn't notice that one

"Daniel Craig, the quintessential exhibitionist"
O_o ??? As Spock would put it: "Fascinating".

"sucking fingers to arouse"
oh, Lord! Has he ever watched the movie??? I mean, watched it, not counting how many times Bond sais "vodkamartini"....

"one instance of drugging"
good he didn't know about what's inside of the can of LeChiffre :cooltongue:

"There were then two actual murders in the film, both rather graphic plus a graphic scene of a murder victim. One of them garnered an "Oh, yeah!" from one of the teens in the audience."
Bad, bad teen ;]

The website is so much like what I'm used to in my country

I suppose it's impossible to make an entertaining action film based on a very violent novel, that adults would enjoy and that does not offend someone with religious sensibilities.

Maybe we weren't checking out Craig 'down there' as closely as this guy was... or maybe he has more imagination...

"sucking fingers to arouse"

My thoughts exactly...

And that's why George W Bush is still pushing us all towards WWIII. What does anyone expect when a war mongering, oil-fuelled dictator gets to rig two elections, one war and the international standing of a once great country?

There is an old phrase "you get the society you deserve". Would our more intelligent American cousins please remember this when voting next year?

Offense to God (O)
In addition to a couple uses of God's name in vain though each is without the four letter expletive [Deut. 5:11], a claim of not believing in God [Num. 14:11], adultery [Hebr. 13:4] and gambling evaporated over one third of the starting 100 points in this investigation area.

But it's the villain - Le Chiffre - who says he doesn't believe in God! So surely that's okay, then? At the same time, are we to take it that Obanno and co. are fine and dandy?

Murder/Suicide (M)
Wile there are several killings in Casino Royale most were a "lawman" killing criminals or defensive killings. What are deemed deaths by police action are not considered murders by the CAP analysis model.

Are they not? Interesting.

Still, this review is surely a wind-up, no?

Do you believe in God Mrs. Broccolli?

No. I believe in a reasonable rate of return!

Actually, doesn't Bond sorta get reformed from his nihilistic ways in Casino Royale after the torture? Resigns, chooses love and one would assume marriage to Vesper, instead of being a filandering assassin?

Good point, Tarl. But when he's eventually denied that path of redemption, he does at least return to being a "lawman", mowing down the forces of evil with renewed vigour. Why are these people ripping on this film?

In terms of bodycount and violent imagery the Old Testament is the most depraved book ever filmed!

It's depressing that Jesus asked for spiritual fruit, and instead got all these religious nuts.

"One of the biggest reasons Casino Royale earned a R-13 score is because of the long sequence of repeated views of full male nudity plus the repeated brutalization of his genitals. Though the genitals of the actor (Craig) remain unseen the rest of him is fully visible, pubic hair included."

That line has me in stiches. Now I don't know about anyone else, but I didn't see any pubic hair when Bond was gettinf tortured.

Yea I don't see this having anything to do with George W Bush. As much as I hate Bush-bashing, if you're going to do it, you could at least find a better way to segue into it. I suppose the site is good-intentioned, but sometimes christians get a bit too intense (I am a practicing Christian myself, a Catholic actually, and this seems silly to me)

Watch the film 'Jesus Camp'. It's an eye opener, and scary.

If they take over it will be the end of Bond, the end of Harry Potter, basically the end of anything that isn't about how great Jesus is.

You should be. we all should be. 80 million people in America are Evangelical Christians. There's already enough of them to sway your elections.

All you have to do is look at the headlines and see how other religions are so "normal", so tolerant.

Islamic militants killing hundreds a day in Iraq & Afghanistan.

Hindus clamoring to put Liz Hurley in jail because, gasp!, she sat on a couch instead of on the floor by the "sacred fire."
