Another one - does anyone like the view that Tilly Masterson has of Bond and Goldfinger's cars in GF?

Yep, quite a bit happening in that shot

Thanks. Yes, great shot, it's one of the ones I always think of when I see this thread. Beautiful scenery too.

The bathroom fight scene is CR as well as Craig coming out of the water...the b/w suited the grimness of the fight and the camera really picked up the beauty of the water and the sheer :( of the 'trunk' scene.

I have many others but cant think as of right now.

I really love the shot in Moonraker, where Corrine is getting chased by the two dogs! When the dogs take her down, the camera shot is beautiful.

I can't think of a single shot in Casino Royale (2006) that I like. I'm disappointed in the flat, floodlight look of that film. It needed to be lit as a noir, for mood and atmosphere like Casablanca only in color. It is the least interesting of all the Bond films from a visual aesthetic. It has no aesthetic.

I always get a kick out of the Universal Exports nameplate that opens OHMSS with the reflection of Peter Hunt walking past.

But my favorite shot, or sequence of shots, is the introduction of Sean Connery in Dr. No. That whole scene, from the start where his hand rests on the card shoe, to his crossing the frame to exit the casino, is one of the most memorable moments in cinema. It also defines Bond.

One of the most fantastic shots ever can be seen in MR during the PTS. 2 or 3 seconds after Bond is pushed out of the plane you can see him freefalling and see the plane in the background. I've always loved that moment. No music, you can just hear the plane going further away in the background.

You don't like the panoramic shots of Venice or the train snaking through the countryside?! Thay're certainly not "flat" or "floodlit".

Absolutely agree :( Talk about a great shot that really raised the adrenaline level. Its out of this world :)
That shot used, as Bond is freefalling from the plane,was on the Moonraker trailer also wasn't it. great stuff.

There are three shots from TWINE (not necessarily the best ever, or my favourite, just some that stand out in my mind):

1. After Bond's boat has jumped back into the Thames from the cafe/restaurant, there is a tracking shot of Bond's boat with the Millennium Dome in the background;

2. Almost immediately afterwards, an aerial shot of the Dome, Bond's boat and villain's boat on the bend of the Thames, all in the same frame;

3. Finally, during the ice chase one the Russian para-ski thingys goes over a cliff and the camera follows. I still remember the sense of vertigo watching in the cinema.

PS, sorry I remembered another one: a similar shot to #3, when Bond jumps out of the office (in the PTS) and the camera follows.

Yes, love this entire scene, the music from John Barry, the lighting, and then as Corinne falls as the dogs reach her the camera moves up into sunlight and then we hear bells and we're into St Mark's Square in Venice.

It's funny how Moonraker is considered the more camper film in the series, but it actually has some pretty intense and dramatic scenes, Dog Chase, Centerfuge Trainer. I've actually grown to love the movie.

I agree. I always enjoy it when I watch it. It has a lot of action set-pieces and some of the best locations of a Bond movie. It's just a shame that it didn't stay on Earth. A longer boat journey through the Amazon would have been interesting, and a final battle with Drax among the trees would have been better. But we can't change that now.

Both of those sequences are absolute stunners in my opinion (the death of Corinne being the standout of the two with the added benefit of a magnificent cue from John Barry). Perfectly executed.

It's like something from an atmospheric 70's horror film.

Is there a better shot than the one in OHMSS, when the "mercy" flight arrives at the dawn? My best! It's like a dream.

You should watch THE KITE RUNNER if you haven't already. The man can be an artist.

That was a great shot. My favorite shot from the new QOS trailer (and perhaps one of my favorite shots from the entire franchise, assuming it makes it into the film) is the shot of Bond looking at Camille just as she says "I'd like to know how it feels."

I like this location establishing shot in the trailer.

Me too. Reminded me of Close Encounters when trucks drive over a hill to find the SS Cotopaxi ship in the Gobi desert, with hints of TSWLM.

I like the shot in the QoS TV spots, where Bond is sitting at the back of the boat, looking relaxed and with his sunglasses on. On top of that, the water looks fantastic.

:(

It has the same wonderful blue colour that all the water scenes in Casino Royale had.
