Yes, I agree. Doctor No is filled to the brim with beautiful images. Certain scenes are like living, breathing publicity stills. Smoke slowly rising out of Bond's cigarette at No's table for instance. Just brilliance.I love the shot in Dr. No, where Bond and Ms Taro sit down on the bed and the shadow of the fan can be seen rotating on them. Just a little thing, but it's a beautiful shot.

I also really enjoy the part where he's on the phone to Felix in La Paz; there's really low mood lighting and it's perfect for a spy film (and even better because it's in a Bond film).

I quite like the shots in QUANTUM OF SOLACE where Bond drops down off the stage in Bregenz and strides across to the opera hall's foyer. I also like the one where he has his little stand-off with Greene's men across the foyer, and again when he drops the Special Branch opertaive off the roof. In fact, I pretty much like all the cinematography in the Tosca sequence.

Agreed, nice shots.
There is some good cinematography in QOS, just wish we'd had a slightly longer look at Siena.

It's in GoldFinger when Connery paces, with the stealth of a panther, across the Florida hotel room towards the balcony where Jill Matherson is aiding GF with cheating at cards. The camera tracks behind Connery, low angle and as I say, it's very moody - Bond is back-lit from the balcony so he's a dark figure and a bold image. I love the pace of the shot and the angle and lighting -- and the next shot is excellent as well, a wide angle, deep focus shot with Jill in the F/G looking thru. the binoculars unaware of Bond in the B/G watching her from the balcony door.

Actually, I hate that shot. Worst in the film. Stinks of Goldeneye, N64.

DN - Honey Rider's reveal.
FRWL - The entire Bond/Grant fight, particularly the great editing after Grant is stabbed with the knife.
GF - The camera pull back that reveals the interior of Fort Knox.
TB - The whole Jet Pack sequence, and the aerial shot of Largo's complex.
YOLT - The roof foot chase, and volcano interior reveal.
OHMSS - Plenty mentioned here, but the best scene by far being the panning up of the camera to reveal Tracy at the ice rink followed by Bond's look of relief upon seeing her. Perhaps one of the best shots in the entire series!
DAF - Bond on top of the elevator at the Whyte House.
LALD - Aerial shots of the boat chase.
TMWTGG - The "carplane" taking off.
TSWLM - The PTS parachute jump, and the "submarine car" appearing from the ocean revealing looks of disbelief from the beachgoers.
MR - Bond on the hangglider, followed by Jaws and Dolly meeting for the first time (J/K!)!
FYEO - Bond climbing the mountain, and the ATEK falling toward its demise.
OP - The quick camera cut from a closeup of the sheep's head which then segues to a quick camera zoom toward Golinda after Bond expresses his displeasure of trying to eat when stared at.
NSNA - A close up shot of Fatima Blush hiding from Bond and his "fishing" girlfriend just before Fatima detonates a bomb in his hotel room. Also the aerial shot over France.
AVTAK - Camera pull back revealing Zorin and May Day in their blimp over San Francisco.
TLD - Various exterior shots of Vienna, and aerial shots of the airplane fight.
LTK - M's reveal in the Florida Keys, and numerous shots of Sanchez's mansion.
GE - PTS "bungee" jump.
TND - The Dr. Kaufman sequence.
TWINE - Aerial shots of Bond and Elektra skiing.
DAD - The entire sword fight sequence.
CR - The Venice reveal, numerous aerial crane shots during the free running sequence, and the pull back exterior shots of Montenegro.
QOS - Bond and Camille walking through the desert while accompanied by the haunting David Arnold music. Also the Tosca opera scenes, and the pull back shots of Bond leaving Greene in the desert.
There are plenty of others, but these are amongst the best of the best.

Anyone remember the shot in Quantum of Solace, just after Bond is running through the burning hotel? It cuts to a long shot and we see the hotel from the outside, no fire or anything, just smoke. It looks so cool!
I'll have to watch that again once I purchase the DVD.

I love the slightly tilted camera shot at the start of From Russia With Love, where Kronsteen enters Blofeld's HQ. I've really just noticed it.
That's a great shot. At first I didn't notice it either, but it makes sense since they are on a boat. Nice pick.
If I may add another, I like the shot in the pre-title sequence of TLD when the 00s are jumping off the carrier plane and into Gibraltar.

2. Sean and Claudine on the beach - wide shot in TB.....no make that- close up shot of Claudine on beach in TB.
3. Tim and Maryam in the desert en route to Kamran's HQ in Daylights.
4. Shot of a singing Sean on a bike with Bernie jogging attired in black socks and loafers in NSNA.
5. All shots of Olga in QoS.

Now you mention it, I never really liked that shot. After the realism of the scenes within the burning hotel, the long shot was so obviously a miniature model that it didn't quite work.Anyone remember the shot in Quantum of Solace, just after Bond is running through the burning hotel? It cuts to a long shot and we see the hotel from the outside, no fire or anything, just smoke. It looks so cool!

1. The pre-title shot of Laz running toward the beach to rescue the radiant Diana in OHMSS.

I especially like 4 and 5 on that list. I forgot about that scene in NSNA after a "useless" Felix shows up complimenting Bond on his "performance" with Fatima Blush. Blush could have had Bond killed at any moment and apparently Felix was just standing around outside doing nothing! Gee, thanks! But that did lead to the scene you talked about where the two escape Blush's henchmen which leads me to wonder just where Bond and Felix aquired that bike, and where did Felix get time to change into black socks and loafers?! Maybe a bit of a continuity error there. Anyway, that was a scene unlike many I have seen in a Bond movie!
#5 on your list is of course self-explanitory!

Agreed. This would have to be my faourite. Bond introducing himself to Sylvia whilst lighting up his cig is just so ridiculously iconic.

FRWL is amazing, one of the best films ever, when Bond was still raw and had yet to becoem a caricature of himself, the film is truly amazing

I love that quick shot in Quantum of Solace during the Bregenz sequence of Greene's limosine driving through the streets with the camera positioned behind a gap in a water fountain; it's beautifully done.
I can honestly say that I haven't noticed that shot.

I think that it's before Bond and Greene get to the Tosca Opera House...right after Leiter and Beam at the airport.I love that quick shot in Quantum of Solace during the Bregenz sequence of Greene's limosine driving through the streets with the camera positioned behind a gap in a water fountain; it's beautifully done.

Ahh right.
Best shot from QOS, when the rail Bond and Greene are fighting on falls apart and the camera follows Bond's fall down on the balcony, fantastic shot.
Yeah, great shot.
I REALLY hate the shot when he drops down to the floor, after he shoots out the glass. It looks disgraceful, like a rag doll. NO, one of them test dummy things.

The best shot of a camera? CR, when Campbell gets a shot of that wall-mounted surveillance camera.
Yes I realize it's a joke, but to be honest I quite like that shot.
