In CR the shot, in which the camera follows the train to Montenegro is pure magic!
I agree. If anything I wish it was a little longer. Great music by David Arnold to accompany it, too.

GF- Oddjob's electrocution. The camera looking down on both characters with sparks flying everywhere.
OHMSS- Intro of George: the shots of him lighting a cigarette. It's got "60's Cult" written all over it!
TSWLM- In the PTS where Bond skis off the cliff.
TLD- nothing new: Tim's intro shot; the silhouetted horseman.
GE- the bungee jump. Not an action scene but.....wow.
Just after he's punched the guard in the toilet, he opens the door and we get our first proper lok at the new Bond.
CR- Jumping from crane to crane shots. And...basically the rest of the film.

I think it's a bit of a cliche by now, actually...Don't know if anyone's mentioned Honey's emergence from the water shot?

Excellent one.
Contrast it with the shot of Le Chiffre's death in Casino Royale where the camera is on the floor, and his dead head suddenly fills the screen - just shows how things were shot differently in the 60's.

Oddly enough, the scene involving Dent and Doctor No in Dr. No parallels very nicely with the scene on the yacht in Casino Royale with Le Chiffre and Dimitrios; not only is the atmosphere matched, but the camera angles evoke the German Expressionism of such worthy silents as The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.Excellent one.GF- Oddjob's electrocution. I thought it was the opposite. Dent is utterly petrified of Dr No, and can't see him.
Demetrious can not only see Le Chiffre but also arrogantly explains that "he couldn't care less".

Many of mine have already been mentioned here, the crane shot from YOLT and the casino pool shot from OHMSS. I must also admit to being partial to Connery's reveal in DAF, pure class! Here's a challenge though, can we find some iconic shots from LTK? (apart from the fish wink, naturally ) I've always enjoyed LTK but some of the shots I find very 'bland.' Anyone have any thoughts?

I know what you mean. I'm a big fan of LTK but it doesn't have great cinematography or locations. However, 2 shots spring to mind - the helicopter snaring Sanchez's plane during the PTS and also a dusty and bloodied Bond's look of exhaustion and belated grief after killing Sanchez at the end.

-I know its weird, but I love the whole '60s feel to the Connery films. The things that really made them great. I mean like when they superimposed him driving the car, and the bit when the helicopter explodes in FRWL and we see Bond and Tanya go for cover, all done in one, shot, it looks fake, but stil perfect. Also that plane in Gf, you laugh when you see it, but it is so stlish none the less. Simply and very classy.
They don't make them like they used to.
-I too love the scene in OP when Bond gets stabbe and we think Bond has been killed on the taxi, great shot, great use of music.Pure genius in an otherwise lacklustre film.
-Most of the action scenes are great. AVTAK on the bridge. I love Gilbert's direting in TSWLM, he catches so much action in one single shot of the frame. Like when Bond is drivign the lotus, then a helicopter comes and starts shooting at him, no cut aways, all done in one shot, in one frame, the camera dosen't even need to move, this is also evident when Bond drives the car into the water, the helicopter is still visble shooting away. It gave the film a larger then life film but still grounded in reality.
-CR was fantastic, loved all the quiet moments with just Bond closeups. When he 'kills' Fisher. My fav, for some odd reason is an odd one. It comes when Bond is on the last game with LeChiffre, he has takern his jacket off and the shot if above Le Chiffre's shoulder looking at Bond. Bond knows he's won, and just beofre he raises, We see Dan's face, it looks like he is smiling, not coyly, but as if he has somethign to say but thinks better of it. Just Craig's acting is so well-tuned. The moment is teasing and very endearing, I;m glad EON got an actor of Craig's stature.
Here is the shot:

Subtle yet electrifying..only Craig could dislodge a piece of meat from his back molar and get away with it.

Its been mentioned already, but the ski chase in OHMSS. The happy, loving close-up of the newly-engaged Bond and Tracy is suddenly shattered by a wonderful long shot of Blofeld's gun-totin' men following.
And the shot in TWSLM, where Anya opens the wardrobe door to find Jaws in it. It still makes me jump 30 years later!

I can think of two:
1) The close up of Bond's face when he is threatening to kill Lupe inside her stateroom on the Wavecrest. Timothy Dalton has never looked more menacing;
2) As Bond and Pam make their escape from the Key West bar, some guy comes out shooting at the boat. Bond makes a swift turn and kills the guy with one or two shots, as their boat is moving away.

Also I like the camera shot in The World Is Not Enough , when Bond kills Elektra and after gives her a soft touch on her face.

When Bond is in Sanchez' office. As Timothy snorts "well that shouldn't be too difficult",laughs scornfully and then returns his stare to Sanchez, he looks thoroughly relaxed, arrogant and dangerous.
The expression on Bonds face when he looks down and notices the discarded carnation in Krests warehouse.
Also, Bond running away from the exploding tanker. A ridiculously OTT explosion and totally Bond.

My favourite shot is probably the birds eye view of the docks in YOLT when Bond is being chased by all those villains. That one really stands out for me. A clever piece of directing.
It almost looks like the whole thing is shimmering, along with the music, it feels epic.

I'll add the opening of the gunbarrel to reveal the plane that picks up Sanchez's trail. Just a nice shot of high above and much more impressive than many of the opening shots.[

Another one I like is the pullback from the tower at the Hemingway house that reveals M's snipers when he goes to confront Bond. Again, not a great shot, but memorable.
And one more, I like the look on Bond's face when he finds the note after finding Felix's body right before the phone rings.

I rather like the close-up shots of Daniel Craig at the poker game in the Bahamas in Casino Royale; they reminded me a lot of some similar shots of Sean Connery aboard M's submarine office in You Only Live Twice.
I can see what you mean Mr. Blofeld.
I also love the shot of Bond in the restroom, during the poison sequence. The lighting is perfect in that scene, utterly beautiful.

That's a great shot, glad you mentioned it. It's also an example of good visual shorthand--the mark of a good director, IMO. In one brief shot, we're told that we're in London at MI6 HQ. No subtitles needed, no explanations--perfect example of "show, don't tell."The opening shot reflecting Big Ben and a double decker bus off the Universal Exports brass plate.
That shot is lifted from "North by Northwest," where the Capitol Building in reflected in the brass plate for the "National Intelligence Agency" or whatever it's called. If you gotta steal, steal from the best.

A few I don't think have been mentioned:
SPY: When Bond and Anya are creeping around the ruins, they bump into each other and spin around, he with his gun drawn and she ready with the karate chop. This is one of my favorite images in the series and the sting in the score gives it a jolt. It's amazing how important the music is in most of these scenes.
LTK: In the precredit sequence, the moment Bond and Felix leap off Sanchez's trussed-up plane. This is an amazing shot.
FYEO: During the keel-hauling sequence, the shot where you see Bond and Melina reflected in the water's surface. Ah, the days before CGI ruined action sequences.
MOONRAKER: The sun "rising" behind the Moonraker as it flies into the camera. This is one of the best SFX shots in movie history because it looks so real. And because of Barry's music behind it.
FRWL: Grant's face reflected in the car mirror as he watches Bond at the airport.

Mine's easy. The crane shot in YOLT, where Bond is running on a rooftop being chased my a dozen henchmen. The shot pulls back higher and higher to John Barry's action music till we're up in the sky, looking down at the whole roof and all of the men are merely moving dots.
This is the first one that came to mind as well. Absolutely awesome.
The end of the African Rundown chase when Daniel turns and puts the gun to Mollaka's head really stands out to me as well. His silence makes it and I remember being breathless right then.
I think my favorite though has to be the shot of the sunlight glinting off the helicopters right before the attack on Piz Gloria. Perfect shot, perfect moment, perfect music...love it.
