Went to see Flags of our Father's the other night and they had a Bond preview, but sadly it was the Teaser and not the full trailer. SUCK!

I thought for sure Leno would book Craig, seeing as he's a huge Bond fan. Weird...though perhaps Leno will get Craig after the 17th?
Doesn't look like it - his show is all booked until the 22nd, and the next few days after that are probably going to be reruns since its Thanksgiving.

That's pretty weird, Leno's always had anyone associated with the new Bond film on his show (Brosnan, Hatcher, Richards, Brosnan, Berry, Desmond, etc.). Perhaps he's not open to the reboot?

ohhh, noooo. This is reminding me of LTK.
LTK had barely any PR at all. For this week, I don't think I've seen one show on television where I haven't see a Casino Royale TV spot. Of course it's probably because I'm within the target market... but still.
I think they're doing fine. Awareness is definitely up. There's tons of online PR in addition to the commercials and previews before other films. Good word of mouth seems to also be going around which is more valuable than Craig bouncing around from interview to interview on TV.

Exactly.

But it's still more good publicity for the film, nonetheless.

And as funny as it'd be to see Craig on Conan, I doubt the dozen or so twisted insomniacs that even watch him will be a great loss.

i think since Leno is the number 1 chat show in the US it is essential that Craig apears and does a good job. frankly i see him as a person with a russel crowish humor and style.
Funny you should mention that, Crowe was on the same show as Craig on Monday, and came across as an uptight grumpy jerk (the first thing out of his mouth was confrontational) whereas Daniel gave a fine, relaxed interview.
Anyway, I don't know if hitting every single talk show will improve a movie's chances. As long as they get appearances on 2 or 3 of the major shows, including either Leno or Letterman, its fine. I remember that Jessica Simpson Employee of the month crap that was out recently, they had all three, er, "stars" on just about every talk show known to man, and the movie tanked.
Hmm just saw a preview for Dan's Letterman appearance, it looks to have been taped already? (I thought they taped these things on the same day?!) It was on CBS tonight, just a brief blurb "Dave's got the new James Bond Daniel Craig", and it showed him in his grey three piece suit.

Letterman tapes his Thursday and Friday night shows on Thursday. Guess he doesn't like to work on Fridays

His height may be off-putting. I think that Letterman at well over 6 foot (6'3" I think?) is going to make DC look very short, who certainly looks 5'10" at best judging by the many, many photos of him - and his films. Will that bother the general public that the new Bond is short?
I never tire of hearing this brought up. Honest.

I wish Warwick Davis had a talk show. Then we could finally be proud of how tall Craig was when he appeared on the show.

No, Quest is right, we all know that everyone who watches Letterman will be outraged that Daniel Craig is not as tall as Letterman, and all these people will not only boycott Casino Royale, they will burn down any theater showing it, and will beat up any random person who happens to be called either Daniel or Craig. Or Fernando.

frankly I'm not so sure about the young generation.... I went to see Borat in the biggest theatre in the city (a really big auditorium) which was completely sold out.. full of young people... the Bond trailer came on... HUGE backlash after..... I mean honestly... it was total disregard... I get the feeling that they liked the old DAD style formula
Can you be more specific on the backlash?

I just flip it on Letterman. Craig hasn't showed up yet has he?
He was the second guest on.
They talked a bit about his role in "Road to Perdition" Briefly talked about the other five Bonds (Dave made a joke that Alex Trebek almost ruined the franchise). Dan talked a bit about the concept of the reboot, and they showed a clip.
The clip was awesome! It was a bit of the stairwell fight, and it was unlike anything we've ever seen in a Bond film before!

Pretty crappy interview except for the clip.
They talked about Road to Perdition, Letterman showed photos of all the Bonds, and then they showed some clip of monkeys skiing to the James Bond theme.
But the clip was great. It was a clip of the stairwell fight.
Also, during the commercial break, there was a commercial for the new Omega watch using the music and footage from the trailer.
