I agree there SAF with Viper, I'm at 'Moonraker' currently with my Blu-ray viewings and they do look so crisp and sharp, the colour and picture is wonderful and I've noticed things I hadn't before due to the detail and picture quality. A great joy to have them given so much attention.
What Bond movie do you feel like watching?

(It's funny how the recent Bond 24 rumors about Sam Mendes and Mrs. Javier Bardem have suddenly re-ignited my need to do another Bond film marathon..lol)
Think I'll be going for a Dalton flick tonight with The Living Daylights..

'Moonraker' done, and even though it's very tongue in cheek, it's also very entertaining! Some great action sequences and fights, but also a stunning film to look at with the set design and locations used (overlooked by the cheesy gags).
And funny, Jaws wasn't as annoying as I used to think either. He comes across pretty smart and has some priceless facial expressions that sum up the Roger Moore era I think...when the speedboat turns into a hang-glider for one. His look sums up everyone else's I think!
More serious tonight with 'For Your Eyes Only' and the greatest use of a cow-bell in a gunbarrel theme EVER. Can't wait for that tune.

'For Your Eyes Only' done.
Another eye-opener and an actual change of view to this film - possibly one of the best balanced Moore films in terms of his trademark humour and the serious thriller/action sequences.
Some highlights were the escape from Gonzale's hideout; great action from Moore and the stunt team, the Citroen chase is actually really well filmed and the soundtrack is perfect for the 80s transition.
Great characters with Melina, Aris and Milos - a great cat-and-mouse relationship with Bond perfectly in the middle. Moore is obviously restrained and is easily trying to portay at more down to earth Bond and it works at times, but others I miss his usual smooth style.
On the whole, some great action sequences produced, great stunt work and good characters that you can believe in with nothing too far fetched.
I look foward to a bit more comfortable Bond ground with 'Octopussy' next...

'Octopussy' done, and a wonderful watch for the 30th.
Glady my appreciation and view on this film hasn't changed, if anything it just brought back to me the wonderful array of vibrancy, spectacle and location scouting used to really make this a memorable Bond. From the exciting chases and meetings in India, to the highlight of espionage and action in Berlin, this is a solid Moore entry of what Bond should be about - fun, yet serious with a firm story and great characters.
Loved Louis Jordan in the role as Khan, even more wonderfully sly and smooth, and it's easily Maud Adam's best Bond girl role, beating Andrea Anders in looks, personality and pathos.
Just a wonderfully entertaining film overall and a solid Bond film with lots of excellent production design and stuntwork - the Tuk Tuk chase and Berlin steam train sequence are always standout for me.
Now ready for the finale of the Moore era with 'A View To A Kill' tonight...

I'm in need of some cheering up at the moment, so I'll probably watch a Roger Moore Bond film later on. Any Moore film will do. Probably more than one. I've been critical of them in the past, but they are undeniably fun action spectacles, and if you are in the right mood are good to watch. Plus, they are a reminder of my youth, when Bond movies were eagerly anticipated in the summer months every couple of years or so.
