Did Thunderball last night.
I've been thinking about this one for quite some time now, and I think I might give it another go-around soon!

Its had some criticism of late, but the underwater battle is paced rather well. The Shrublands sequence sets up the plot nicely. The middle portion meanders around and the sped up boat chase finale detracts from realism, but Connery has the best quips here!
Watched From Russia With Love tonight. Classic early Bond.

I managed to catch 'A View To A Kill' on the Bond channel yesterday and just was reminded how brilliant Christopher Walken is as Max Zorin.
It's the little expressions on his face, the small snorts and chuckles he makes that almost go un-noticed, and the constant thinking and deliberating words and actions in his own head.
A truly wonderful Bond villain that I feel Fleming would approve of for the 80s era.

I might hold out on watching the whole series in order until October. October is the unofficial Bond month isn't it? Now that October 5th is Global James Bond Month...

One of my three favorite Bondmovies: Moonraker, For your eyes only, or The spy who loved me.
Probably it's gonna be For your eyes only.

Taking in a viewing of License to Kill tonight. Watched the first half on my old Special Edition DVD, and now I'm watching the second half on blu-ray.
Makes you really appreciate the quality.

Yea I definitely get that from Connery in YOLT. Even more so I think than DAF.

Skyfall on Blu-ray. I really do believe this, Casino Royale and to a lesser extent QoS are the modern equivalents of the 1960s heyday.

Having just read Jim's dissertation on DAD, I feel like enjoying it yet again, but I will try to resist - I prefer to watch it in December as part of a celebratory run that includes OHMSS, DAF, TMWTGG and NSNA.
