His most pertinent question the entire movie was why did all the bad guys army wear orange the look like they're wearing prison clothes (referring to the current prison trend of dressing today's convicts in Orange Scrubs)
His other remark was one of incredulity at the 1970's computer printers to which he exclaimed "a typewriter?!? REALLY?!?"

I know this is probably considered blasphemy in the Bond world, but I can not rememeber the last time I watched a Bond movie or felt the need to watch one. I have all 22 of them and recently I have not felt the urge to pop one in and watch it. It'll come back eventually when I watch one movie per day leading up to Skyfall.
For some reason I need to elaborate on my previous post. Tried watching Octopussy a few days back.. took me 4 days and I still haven't finished watching it. I've seen it a bunch of times but I'm still having a hard time getting into a Bond movie watching mood. Don't get me wrong I'm as stoked for Skyfall as anyone else on here. But today both TWINE and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull were both on at the same time.. I watched the latter.

Could've been worse - I might have watched Moonraker for the 50th time.

Felt like watching Moonraker for the 50th time, but got sidetracked by Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, then Wrong is Right.

You should give it a new chance.

What I especially don't like is the way the picture is "fast forwarded" during action scenes. This is very awkward: I can see what they want to achive ("this is an action scene so this has to be fast"), but in the end the result is very poor.

That was my intention.
In replying to the challenge of ranking Moore's films by themselves, I recently posted that, although FYEO is the better film overall, I rank MR higher simply because it is so enjoyably bonkers. When I want something unreservedly OTT, MR is the film I reach for (when I tire of spectacle and want something taut and seminal (NPI-I), then I go for FRWL).
Unfortunately, whenever I try to give AVTAK a 'new chance' it never works.
