Die Another Day reason: was a great movie till halle Berry showed up and the futuristic stuff turned the movie to crap.
Quantum of Solace reason: It was an all around good movie, but was made too fast and story didnt fallow correctly with Casino Royale at all.

Having said that, I'd probably still keep it.

A second Lazenby film
A third Dalton film.
A fifth Brosnan film.
Vanish? None. Not even NSNA.

This whole thread is a bummer. You guys are nuking my childhood memories left and right. I wouldn't erase any Bond film because while there are a few I don't like as much, every Bond film is an important part of the series' history and someone somewhere is fond of it and enjoys it and has nice memories of it. Why would I want to be so selfish as to "erase" someone's favorite movie just because it's not my cup of tea?
Yeah. I'm not a big fan of LALD but to completely erase a film from existence should be reserved for unredeemable bad movies. If you consider any of the Bonds as such, you should also be evaluating your permanence in this forum.
That said, I wouldn't wish NSNA upon my worst enemy.

(Casino Royale and Never Say Never Again don't bother me at all, I'd rather make Tomorrow Never Dies disappear instead of the unofficial entries, wouldn't want to get rid of top actors like Niven, Sellers, Welles, Allen, Belmondo, Sheybal, Connery, von Sydow, Brandauer, Fox, ...)

I wouldn't make any vanish. I'd keep them, even as they are. Granted, if given the opportunity to make some changes here and there, I can think of a few things that come to mind.

I wonder how many people saying they would make certain Bond films vanish from existence haven't actually made them vanish from their own collections...
Good question. I am a completist in every sense of the word. Happily, I wouldn't even want to make my least favourite (DAD) vanish, as I find it to be mediocre, but not abominable (I'll leave that description for Transformers or Pearl Harbour and all the like).

That is pretty much my sentiment. With out the scenes,Quantum of Solace would probably still be my least favorite but I would still like it. With the scene, Quantum of Solace is the only Bond film that I do not like.I wouldn't make any Bond film vanish. However, I would erase one scene from the series--specifically the death of Rene Mathis in Quantum Of Solace. It is by far the worst scene in the series, the lowlight being 007 acting completely out of character in his callous treatment of his good friend. It should be eliminated from existence.

WOW! GOldfinger and Dr. No are without question the 2 most influential films of the series. Without those two, there would be no Bond series as we know it today.

Indeed, and if there was no TMWTGG there would not have been one of the most unforgettable villains in the series, Sir Christopher Lee as Francisco Scaramanga.

I agree the first three Bond movies are pretty much like the holy trilogy! And yes Scaramanga, whatever your thoughts on TMWTGG, he is great, was voted 3rd on imdb's favorite Bond villain poll too.

Like a poster above me, it made me dislike the bond franchise for a while. It's an embarrassment. In fact, I felt the brosnan bonds got worse with each one - Goldeneye was great, tomorrow never dies was poor, the world is not enough was even worse...and DAD...well...
This is all my opinion of course. I'm sure some people out there love the Brosnan movies.

Do you mean one has to positively adore each and every bond movie, just because they are bond movies, or else be disregarded as an unfaithful bond fan ? I don't get it. I would be very glad if the disastrous TND had never been issued, yet I do consider myself a bond fan, and actually just registered in the CBn Forum. I do not consider bond movies to be the Wholly Scriptures ; one may question their quality.

Absolutely agreed.
Bond films that I'd make vanish: GOLDFINGER, YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE, DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER, THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN, TOMORROW NEVER DIES, THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH, and DIE ANOTHER DAY.
