Again, Natalya, where did you hear this announcment? I see nothing on the official sites.
I haven't seen it either, and I've been looking for that announcement. It's not on CasinoRoyalemovie.com, it's not on jamesbond.com, or any of the entertainment sites like comingsoon.net.

It's the teaser, it's just -clearly- incomplete.

To quote Kaufman, "I feel like an idiot. I don't know what to say."

Still, I can believe this. But I expect the official trailer will contain very similar elements. This trailer felt suspicious to me in how the heads and tails felt clipped. Probably there were identifying logos or something that indicated the source of the footage.

But why on earth would a French TV station play something that wasn't officially approved? There's gonna be trouble for someone.

The trailer looks like, if in fact it is incomplete, it is very close to being finished. I would imagine that, ultimately, the final shot of the trailer will be either deleted or re-shot, and a few other minor tweaks, but other than that, I think that it's probably very close to what the finished product will be.

Perhaps the "official" trailer will have more footage in it?

Meaning it's not the official trailer then? Maybe it's an "idea" of what they want the trailer to be, but incomplete?

I'm hoping for more footage. The best of both worlds, and all that.

Wow, well it looks like I'm really alone in my assessment. Everyone here seems to LOVE this trailer. I just feel it looks like another action movie, not a Bond film, but an action movie. JoBlo.com blasted it as well, although AICN seems positive about it.
IMO, the teaser trailer is everything it needed to be. Tense, fast-paced, hard action, erotic, scary, different - and Craig is a new Bond, different from all the others - therefore one of a kind. Truly great teaser, one of the best teasers in Bond history.
I couldn't disagree more. Sure it looked like an action movie, but this is just a teaser, it's supposed to only be the big action at a fast pace to get you hooked.
Personally when I watched this, I immediately felt like it was a Bond movie. That's why I liked it so much.

The teaser ( or at least the second part of it) is everything we have come to expect a bond teaser to be. Fast editing, loud celebratory music and then girls guns and action. A teaser never wants to give you anything about the plot simply scenes to get excited about. In that respect this trailer has delivered, with breathtaking stunt action, exotic ( at long last!!!) locales and amazing cinematography. The music ofcourse adds to the spectacle but boy i am excited about seeing a bond film that is shot on location and not in front of a green screen! The images look so real and alive when compared to the digital computer generated backgrounds in DAD. Just compare the image of Vesper exiting the water with Jinx ready to dive off the cliff in Cadiz..
As for it being official or not, i would think its semi complete. An example of the tweaking needed is, if you notice right after the gunbarrel sequence, where the bulldozer appears, you can hear that the music does not fade in correctly. Also the beginning and end parts of the trailer are prone to subtle alterations i feel, so we could see simor tweaks..

I'm thinking that this trailer was a test to see what works and what didn't.

How can it not be the official teaser? It may be incomplete, but there's no way it's fake.
I'm guessing this is 95% of the real trailer. There may well be some kind of voiceover, and I'm sure Craig is actually supposed to say something at the end, which we haven't seen yet. Plus the studio logos and credits at the beginning and end.
I think that, if this is true, that the "official" trailer will be very, very similar to the one we have now. I think that, most likely, they'll cut that final shot from the trailer, either replacing it with something that is more "Bondian" (although I myself love the final shot of the trailer) or they'll just end it with the Casino Royale logo. But, I think that if this isn't the official trailer, that it is very close to the finished product.
I'm assuming that Craig actually says something to the camera at the end, but its been cut off from the French tv broadcast or whatever. It doesn't make much sense to have the camera zoom in on Craig, having him turn to the camera...and then just end. Something like :
"You were expecting someone else? Well, sod yer then".

ROCKY BALBOA is also a Sony film.
Oh, and remember that would-be arousing montage of clips from BASIC INSTINCT 2 that surfaced a while back, but not in a standard trailer form? That film's a Sony effort, too, isn't it?
