Yeah I think the B&W stuff works wonderfully in setting up the trailer. General audiences aren't going to know what this trailer is when it starts playing : black and white, moody Euro-looking locales, serious voiceovers, some violence, and then...Judi Dench is seen...hang on, isn't she in those Bond films...waitaminute, did he just say "Double O"...? And then BAM, the gunbarrel hits and the trailer bursts into action.

The French will throw them for a loop too.

Well, you have to realize that the traditional 'gunbarrel' is not the bathroom one that was in that trailer. Gunbarrels have been presented in may ways since the DOCTOR NO trailer, but they are not the standard one that starts off the films. The whole 'toilet-gunbarrel' has been really blown out of proportion!

The thing I love about stuff leaking out is that it forces the film company to actually DO something about it or speed up the process of getting info out there.

The french official site has updated with the "M6" version of the trailer.
The music is slightly different from the english version

Edit: Maybe someone noticed that before but the international and the UK website propose the trailer with the "French" version of the music.

I also noticed the Aspect ratio from the M6 french version is diferent to the English version.

Wow, for the first time since the release of the english trailer I watched the French M6 one, and I really have to say that the French version is ten times better than the English one, for the simple reason that it has a faster pace and the most incredible version of the Bond theme I have ever heard. Does anyone else feel the same way?

Yea - The French version of the Bond theme is alot better, but the Engish is good too.

You know whats funny? I was just reading the early pages of this thread and got all of the excitement back that I had that day. To think I wasn't a member yet! I can't wait for the next trailer now, hopefully it's release will be just as exciting as this one.

Christ...how time flies eh? Hard to believe we've come all this way, its kinda sad its all over. Go on, go read the early pages of this thread, it still gives me goosebumps and the excitement I had that day is still there, not sure if you guys will feel the same. Its just...wow, to think it's all over! It just freaks me out that I'll be out of high school when the next one rolls around, it's sooo weird. Well anyway, here's to the success of Casino Royale and the countless hours spent on the best Bond site on the web waiting for updates. Thanks for the memories, the people I've met and the friendships I've made since those early days...just...thanks.

Not to sure where to put this. But in the british verion of the teaser trailer, I think that the scene were Bond says 'Well I understand that double o's have a very short life expentcy' was a diffrent take that was used in the final film.

IMO the word 'very' seems to be more emphasised in the trailer then in the finished product. Anyone else notice this

Bit of a late reply, but yeah I did notice that actually. Thought it was just my hearing playing up, but if you also thought that then we may well be correct!
