If we're talking Spice Girls, then I'd suggest either Posh Spice or Sporty Spice, they at least have brunette hair.

A blonde Moneypenny? Actually, Eon already had one, with Caroline Bliss during the Dalton era.

I must admit the idea of Martine Macutcheon as Moneypenny has certainly given me the biggest laugh of the day.

But I'm confused by the suggestion. Moneypenny's not supposed to be common, is she?

Americans don't seem to see it but I'm with you all the way :) . My flatmate is always confused by my cringing when her Scouse friend visits and asks for a tuna 'butty'.

Claire Forlani?

Besides, there's no point casting Ms. McCutcheon. She'd manage about half a day's filming before going off "sick". Ask Cameron Mackintosh.

Vulgar and unreliable. Not exactly qualities I associate with Moneypenny.

If CR gets away without a Moneypenny and without any Moneypennyisneeded.com websites springing up post release, I would hazard a guess that the character is redundant as written or currently perceived.

A fawning secretary is old dated, but neither would I want a secretary going into the field, a la Diaries, to back up M and her whiskey bottle.

Not sure she has a place for where this series is going but, as ever, am happy to be proved wrong.

I’ve been watching ‘Life on Mars’ on the Beeb America. It crossed my mind that she had the right elements for a different type of Moneypenny. She’s not ‘model’ beauty but she has an genuine home-town attractiveness that would contrast wonderfully with the exoticism of the Bond girls. And she has an innocence that would be a fresh take on Moneypenny (in contrast with Samantha Bond).

I beg to differ.Better than Halle Berry, though.Berry is the perfect Storm. But she will be the new Moneypenny and Brosnan will return.I have it from "reliable inside sources".

Now that's an interesting choice.

But doesn't that particular actress have far too much sex appeal for the role of Moneypenny?
Too distracting, Bond would have a hard time leaving the MI6 facilities everytime he was sent on a mission. :)

Based solely on looks, she actually seems to be an excellent choice.

I love Catherine Bell. I think she is/was one of the sexiest women on TV. There are few things better than seeing her in a bikini. Ooh la la. :)

Anyway, I can't see her as Moneypenny even though she is half-British--too sexy. She would be better cast as one of the Bond girls, although not necessarily the main one. I would love for that to happen. :P :P

Martine McCutcheon would be an excellent choice for Moneypenny. Not sure if anyone as already said this but, either way check her out!
Martine McCutcheon

An intelligent choice - not Bond girl-like, but sexy enough to get Bond's attention.
In other words, Moneypenny.
