I can't see Weisz, Hurley, Kidman, or any other big name actress that's been mentioned signing up for a recurring cameo. I'm sorry, but those choices are just unrealistic and silly. Bond girls, maybe. But a minor role like Moneypenny? Not a chance. Let's be serious, folks; there's nothing to Moneypenny that would entice them to take the role.

I find myself firmly on the side of the lesser-known performers mentioned here. At least those options I can see actually happening, and the performers a much better fit for the role.

Claire Forlani seems like a reasonable choice, but I'm not too big a fan of Martine in the role. She's lovely but I just think she's a bit too 'east-london' for it, you know? Well ye Brits will anyway.

Annabella Sciorra looks great. I just havn't seen any women in roles recently when I think, 'She'd be a great Moneypenny'.

Really hope she's back for 22. Or introduced even?

I'd go for Claire Skinner myself. She really reminds me a lot of Samantha Bond, and she's a fine (and varied) English actress to boot.

I'm not diggin any of the extreme hotties that have been reccomended. I think Moneypenny should look classy and beautiful but not like an exotic bimbo...she should be the 'realistic' Bond girl while all the drop dead gorgeous, silicone girls are out there waiting for 007 on his mission.

Just a little thought I had, maybe have Penny be a little 'alternative' if she's written/cast as a young 20 something. Like give her a little bit of a rocker-girl edge without being too overboard. I dunno. I'm a metalhead at heart and even have a membership to suicidegirls.com so dont pay me any mind if that suggestion is ridiculous to you.

Rachel Weisz is the obvious choice for me if Moneypenny was needed in 2006, but she'll be about 39 when Bond23 comes out and that's edging into the dodgy age territory.

As for other suggestions, I'll nominate Kelly Brook. In 4 or 5 years time she'll be in her early thirties, still gorgeous, and by that point will probably have quite a bit of acting experience behind her (yet not so much she would consider the role 'above' her).
