Not really. They haven't played anybody yet. Their wins are over the Jacksonville Jaguars, a team that could end up being one of the worst teams in the history of the NFL, three of the four NFC East teams, which is a division where 7-9 very well could be enough to win the division, and then the Tennessee Titans who were playing with Ryan Fitzpatrick at QB.

Is anyone surprised by the Chargers? They're a bit better this season. My Pats somehow lost to the Bengals today, though.

Even still though. This is a team that went 2-14 last year and is 5-0 this year.

51-48...Good lord!! While I'm over the moon with the win, I also realize that we could have very well lost that game... Still though, I am looking forward more than ever to our first match up with Kansas City.. We play them two times in 3 weeks in November. Oh and I was fortunate enough to attend last week's game in Denver agains the Philadelphia Eagles...total awesomeness to see the Broncos put up 52 points in person!

I'm hoping to see Seattle versus either Denver or KC in the Super Bowl. Friend of mine is a Raider fan. His head will explode.

I have no words. All I can say is.....never, ever bet against Tom Brady. Do so at your own will. (unless he's playing against the Giants in the Super Bowl jaja)

Go Hawks!

One thing's for sure, Chiefs will definitely be in the playoffs. Who with is the question. I'm thinking, as an unbiased Pats fan, the Broncos. Patriots will be in the playoffs, I think, however.

The Pats have already won the AFC East, elizabeth. It'll be interesting to see who wins between Philly-Dallas and GB-Chicago. My money is on Philly and the Pack.

this Sunday will be exciting for me...we(Bolts fans) need the ravens and 'fins to lose and we need to win at home and then *gulp* we can make the playoffs. Playoffs? Playoffs???!!!
Hopefully the Jets and Bengals will be able to get their jobs done so the Chargers can get in the playoffs. Since the Jets won't be in the tournament, I hope my second favorite team (San Diego) can get to the tournament so I'll have a reason to care this year other than rooting against the Patriots.

If the Saints don't make the playoffs I will blame them for the impending future damage to my liver. I mean LSU has done more damage to my liver but still. Come on Saints!
Who Dat!

Really? Must not have been paying attention. Steelers are taking it to the Browns right now. I kinda like their playoff chances.

The Jets and Bengals both took care of their business, so Go Chargers!
Also great to see that the Jets have decided to retain Rex Ryan for next season. They're not far off from building this team back into a contender.

Seahawks all the way!
Also, nice work, Philly. I'm not really an Eagles fan, but I really really want Chip Kelly to be successful in the NFL. As opposed to having him come back and coach a college team that isn't my Ducks.

Seahawks vs Broncos.
Manning wins.

And the coaching carousel has begun early on this "Black Monday", as it's known in the NFL:
Rob Chudzinski fired by Cleveland Browns
Mike Shanahan fired by Washington
Leslie Frazier fired by the Minnesota Vikings
Still waiting to hear the decisions regarding the coaching staffs in Oakland, Detroit, Miami, Tennessee, Dallas, and Tampa Bay.
At least there was some good news yesterday on the coaching front:
Rex Ryan will return to coach the New York Jets in 2014

Glad to see my Packers beat the Bears yesterday, but unfortunately I don't see us getting past the Niners in the first round. Especially with our porous defense.

Next week:
Colts beat the Chiefs (3-5 in last games)
Eagles beat Saints
49ers beat Packers (49ers have better road record than Pack's home record)
Chargers upset Bengals (everything about this game, PF, road records, home records says Bengals, but the Chargers are on a streak. Unless, of course, the weather is 17 below!)
Then all the home teams prevail in the divisional playoffs. The Seahawks beat the Panthers in the NFC. Broncos beat the Patriots on their way to a Super Bowl win over the Seahawks in a blustery snow filled Super Bowl in the Meadowlands.

Yeah that was a great game! I am hoping that they can win against San Francisco because they were in the superbowl last year.. Plus I want to root for someone that's in my division.

Looks like Detroit and Tampa Bay have also relieved their coaches of their duties. Tampa Bay went forward with a complete house-cleaning, firing their GM as well. Sounds like Lovie Smith is the front-runner for the Bucs' job.
Looks like there won't be changes in Oakland or Dallas. I don't know enough about the Oakland situation to have much of an educated opinion on that one, but it would seem as though having some form of continuity there would be a good thing. I honestly don't know, however, what Jerry Jones is doing in Dallas. A complete house-cleaning is needed there, including the hiring of a real General Manager (something we all know won't happen). Jerry needs to take a page out of his own playbook from the beginning of his tenure in Dallas and go find a hungry college coach to come in and inject some energy into the Cowboys' organization. I know that David Shaw has said that he's not interested in the NFL this upcoming season, but if I were Jerry Jones, I'd at least ask.

The biggest problem with the Cowboys is Jerry Jones. He needs to hire a GM and let him and the coach do their jobs. Why is he ever even on the sideline? He should have never fired Jimmy Johnson (who does that after winning a super bowl?!) Then Barry Switzher actually won a Super Bowl with Jimmy's players essentially exonerating Jerry Jones of his egotistically stupid decision. Chan Gailey shouldn't have been fired either. If Bill Parcels couldn't get that franchise into the Super Bowl, Jason Garrett sure can't. They are like the Raiders now, a once great franchise mired in mediocrity because of its owner's meddling.

Ahh ..that sweet feeling of crushing the Oakland Raiders, having a first round bye AND clinching home-field advantage throughout the playoffs..oh and good news.. Wes Welker has been cleared to play in the playoffs..

I have a hard time ever rooting for our division when they're in the playoffs. I will never, ever root for Chicago. Although I was pulling for the Vikings a few years back when Favre led them to the NFC title game only to do what Brett did best and cost its team the game by throwing a boneheaded interception. If we can't beat SF, then I'm gonna pull for Carolina and Kansas City.

Down by four touchdowns early in the third quarter, Indianapolis came roaring back to win by a single point. Some people watch football with pizza and beer; in Indianapolis, fans need Xanax and a Maalox.

So today it's the Packer vs. 49ers game.. I guess I am rooting for the packers because they are in my division. However, I am not sure that they will be able to beat the 49ers though..

Great job by the Chargers today. I'm glad that I still have something of a rooting interest left in the playoffs, as the Chargers (and to a lesser extent, the Panthers) are the only teams left in the postseason that I can find myself rooting for. Hopefully at least one of them will reach the Super Bowl, although I somehow doubt it.
Got to wonder if the Bengals might make some changes. Yes, they've made the playoffs three years in a row, but with a young team as talented as this one, that's not good enough, especially when you take into account how bad they've looked in these three playoff losses. Makes one wonder if they'll at least bring in someone to compete with Andy Dalton next year.

I have a near impossible time rooting for any team in "my" division. I think I've only ever rooted for the Patriots once in the playoffs, and that was in their last Super Bowl appearance against the Giants. Aside from that, I can't see myself ever rooting for the Pats again in the playoffs, unless they meet Seattle in the Super Bowl this year.
