That might work. As much as it pains me to say, Greg Jennings will probably be available and he is someone that could improve anyone's receiving unit. The idea of stockpiling picks is good too. The Jets won't be competitive next year and possibly 2014 either. But they could start building through the draft to make a powerhouse for 2015 and beyond.

I think the plan should be, as you said, to look to get the team ready for 2015 (maybe even 2014 if they can build quickly, as the defense is already good) to make a run. The defense is always going to be good under Rex Ryan (I don't think he's ever had a defense, either as a coordinator or head coach that finished outside the Top 10), and now that Marty Mornhinweg is on board to run the offense, that should improve drastically.
I don't see Jennings going to the Jets. He'll command far too much money than they'll be able to afford. Someone like Danny Amendola might be more financially feasible, although even he might be a bit too expensive. I think they'll end up going with the quartet of Holmes, Kerley, Edwards, and Hill (who hopefully spends the offseason learning how to catch a football), as with Holmes back (even though he's a locker room nightmare) they're not a complete disaster of a receiving corps, especially since it's going to be the West Coast, dink-and-dunk offense that doesn't rely too much on downfield throwing that they'll be running.

Right then all you NFL fan CBners....Let's have your predictions for the outcome of Super Bowl XLVII...I'm gonna say... San Francisco 49ers...34, Baltimore Ravens....31 and I think that Colin Kaepernick will come away with the MVP.

I'll say 16-13 Ravens. With the lifetime NFL achievement award for getting away with murder...I mean Super Bowl MVP going to Ray Lewis.

I'm hoping for a blowout in favor of San Francisco, but the NFL won't stand for a blowout Super Bowl in this day in age.
I'm thinking somewhere in the neighborhood of 31-24 in favor of San Francisco. With that said, a Ravens victory would be the perfect cap on one of the worst NFL seasons I can remember in a while.

Excellent prediction, Dove. I agree on the winner and the score, but Randy Moss walks away with the MVP!
I'm looking forward to this game, even though it should be Denver vs. SF. Most of all I am looking forward to seeing Reverand Ray dance his last dance and preach his last sermon. Can I get an amen, fellow CBners? GO BRONCOS

I am rooting for the Ravens because I hate the 49ers coach.

Last minute change to the Super Bowl halftime show, all. CBS is reporting that Julio Iglesias, Willie Nelson and Ray Lewis will take the stage for a trio lipsynch of "To All the Girls I've Loved Before."
Immediately following the performance, an extension will be added to the stage to accomodate Reverand Ray's extended family for a Tostitos sponsored praise of the Lord and a Pizza Hut scripture reading.

Oh god. Now I'm really rooting against the Ravens just to spite that murdering linebacker.

I picked the Ravens to win 24-21. I swear, the things that people say in this thread makes me fear for the intelligence levels of this country. None of you were there and even if he was guilty it was a long time ago. People have committed crimes and murders before and have repented and have gone on to live their lives. Get off it!

Also picked Flacco for mvp so the only thing i got incorrect was the final score. I am beyond JOYED! that the 49ers are no longer undefeated in the Super Bowl.

It was probably the longest national anthem in history. i thought she was good and she did not screw up the words like christina did last year.
heck of a game, glad my ravens came out on top. what a season.

Up until the power outtage (WTF was that about??!!) this game was ranking as one of the WORST Super Bowls I have ever seen...it's a wonder what a 34 minute delay can do..then we had a competitve game and it was actually quite fun! Congrats to the Baltimore Ravens on a superb season (yes even knocking out my Broncos..grr) and also I tip my hat to the 49ers on a great season too.. Roll on the 2013-14 season!!

Haha, nice. Well I said the Ravens by 3, I just had the score wrong. I thought it would be a defensive battle.

I sincerely hope that is the worst thing I read on the web today. You may want to reevaluate and reconsider your words.

I think everyone needs to pipe down about Ray Lewis. I mean no one was there, no one knew what happened... I agree with Cruiserweight. I think people need to stop bringing it up.

Yeah, pipe down on this one everybody. I mean what is the controversy? Ray Lewis explained very clearly in his pre-game interviews and his post-game proclamations that he and God have a direct principal to agent relationship. As explained, God does not pick killers to be his vessel. Also, God was on the Ravens side to seal the win. 'Nuff said.
It really was a great run for the Ravens. They played their hearts out and beat the best teams in the NFL to take it all.

Yeah, it made me recall Bleeding Gums Murphy's 20 minute rendition in The Simpsons.

Not sure why you appear to be defending the man. The world puts baseball players and Lance under the microscope for using PHDs but if two human beings are gutted like a fish we are supposed to move past it.

It's insane. Just because they couldn't get a conviction, does not mean he didn't do it, nor does it mean we just forgive the man for killing another man.
