Sources: BC set to fire coach
I actually hope that this guy gets the head coaching job in New York (either that or gets the offensive coordinator position under Rex Ryan as the head coach). He seems to be a much more inspired choice than any of the others that the Jets are currently interviewing for the position, a list of candidates that includes just about everyone currently employed in the NFL not named Mike Shanahan or Marty Schottenheimer (unfortunately the Jets appear to be non-interested in both of those coaches, for whatever reason

Also, Tony Dungy is expected to step down as head coach of the Indianapolis Colts later today and Jim Caldwell, the assistant head coach is expected to take over.. What an amazing run Dungy had both with Tampa Bay and Indy..

Well the Denver Broncos have officially hired former New England Patriots offensive coordinator, Josh McDaniels as our new head coach!! And we are also expected to bring in former 49ers head coach Mike Nolan as our new defensive coordinator... *imitates Chris Berman* "Very interesting!!" LOL.. Wow.. Even though he's only 32 years old, I am intrigued by the hire of McDaniels...he can do wonders for Jay Cutler's game..just look at what he did with Tom Brady and Matt Cassel!!
As the youngest head coach in the NFL, I'm hoping for a scenario ala when John Gruden, the then-youngest head coach, was hired by the Oakland Raiders..
Also, Tony Dungy is expected to step down as head coach of the Indianapolis Colts later today and Jim Caldwell, the assistant head coach is expected to take over.. What an amazing run Dungy had both with Tampa Bay and Indy..
Yeah, he lost alot of playoff games with so many 12+ win seasons. If it weren't for another choker, mart Shottenhiemer, I'm sure the Colts/Manning would still be without a SB title.

I'm actually not that surprised. Especially after completely blowing the division lead.
I'm not surprised either. It was a move that should have been made immediately following the loss to the Raiders, rather than waiting over three weeks for the decision to be made.

The AFC winner of today's game was always going to be favoured in the Super Bowl given that both the Steelers and the Ravens have extremely strong Ds. And in this game it boiled down to Roethlisberger having more experience than his Baltimore counterpart, a rookie.
Obviously Pittsburg will be favoured in the Super Bowl because of it's Number 1 rated defence, but if Warner gets hot, then it could get interesting.
I know the Steelers were 20-1 odds for the Super Bowl back in August, but I don't even want to guess what level Arizona was handicapped at the start of the season.
Wow!

If the Cards win the Super Bowl, then that leaves just ...., Cleveland,... as the miserable NFL franchises...what is it with this part of the country?
Ha ha! That part of the country up and left with Art Modell in the mid 90s and then won a Super Bowl in Baltimore a few years later!
The Cards are the dog in that game. I believe the opening line has the Steelers favoured by 6.5 points to win their sixth championship.
Honestly, the Cardinals have been a one dimentional team relying on Kurt Warner to air it out. Pittsburg, however, has the number one ranked defence in the league and are good everywhere on D.
Still, a hot quarterback can make the difference...and that hot quarterback is more likely to be Warner because Roethlisberger just has to conduct Pitt's normal game plan and schemes and let his defence strutt their stuff.
Arizona has a

Since there is a 2 week layoff b/t games the odds say this is going to be a blowout and Pittsburgh should win their record 6th Super Bowl.
I don't see a blow-out. The spread has moved to -7. The opening line was -6.5, so money has gone to the Steelers since last Sunday.
Given that the Super Bowl is the most heavily bet upon game of the year (attracting the casual punter) I wouldn't read too much into it.
The reason I don't see a blow-out is because Pittsburg doesn't have the type of offensive fire-power that other teams have. They do, however, have the greatest defence of the year...so a possible blow-out may come from take-aways and interceptions, especially if Warner is forced to throw and throw...which he might end up doing anyway given how one dimensonal the Cards have been.
If you see the Steelers blowing-out Arizona, then that -7 spread should look attractive to you.
