Attention all doubting Thomases: KNEEL!!!!!

:)

My team upset the Colts yesterday and I won a poker tournement at the Mirage.... happy days baby! :) :):D

Now bring the Pats...if anyone can cover the Pats it's San Diego. Cromartie was genetically engineered to cover Randly Moss...they're a great team but recent history has not been kind to top seeded teams...

Ask the Jags what it is like when you take away Randy Moss- you still give up 31 points.

Hee-hee-hee; the Patriots are unstoppable. :D

"They know the meaning of success..."

DUH-BA-DUHDUH-BA-DAH!

"Their needs are more, so they give less..."

DUH-BA-DUHDUH-BA-DAH!

"They call them 'the winners who take all'..."

Da-duh-da-duh...

"And they STRIKE..."

BA-DUH-BAH-DUH-BAH!

"...like THUNDERBALL!!!"

:(

The Pats are the best team ever. I don't dispute that but anyone can loose. And if Garrard doesn't throw that pic they have a shot. I'm just bummed that we have to play the greatest team ever with our "triplets" not 100% healthy. Talk about luck for the Pats...man...

Why would you say the Pats are the best team ever? B/c of their record? Not many considered the 1972 Dolphins the best team ever, and they went undefeated. Now that New England does it, they are the default best ever?

Yes, their offense is one of the best ever. (Although most of this is due to rules changes that make it that much toughter to cover WRs + the fact that the Patriots were frantic in trying to run up the score almost every game).

Their defense is certainly not the best ever, or even in the top five.

So how are they the best ever?

PS: The 1972 Dolphins team won 8 games (+1 Playoff) without their HOF QB, Bob Griese. How many of the last 8 regular season games would they win without Brady? Could they have beaten Jax without Brady?

Miami ran for 2900 yards!!! How would NE stop that?
Miami's defense didn't even allow a TD in the Super Bowl.

Ok I was just to be a good sport-Miami is el numero uno. But you would accept the notion that SD could man handle the '72 Fins tommorow given the fact that they are biger stronger faster...etc. right?

Viva los Fins!

Yeah, but arguments like that kinda defeat the purpose. The current 1-15 Dolphins would win due to being bigger, stronger, faster. Does that mean the best NFL teams of all time are the current 32 teams?

When you compare teams across different era, you look at the strengths, weaknesses, and personel of the team. And you draw conclusions that way.

PS: I hope you are happy come Sunday evening. Go Chargers!

I don't know but I expect he will play. I just hope he doesn't have to exit the game the way John Elway had to during an AFC champ game against the Bill way back when...it's just so unfair to see these two great teams compete without their top guns...anway, he's young and maybe he'll recover in time...

Just up on ESPN.com The Dolphins have hired Tony Sparano (not Tony Soprano) as their new head coach!! I knew that the minute Bill Parcells took over in Miami, he would want to get as much of his staff from Dallas to come with him.. How will this bode for the Cowboys next season? And it looks like the Baltimore Ravens are offering the head coaching job to Dallas' offensive coordinator Jason Garrett!.

As for Tarl's Chargers vs the Pats this weekend... LT should be good to go but Phillip Rivers is still in question. By the way, I'm not liking the fact that Rivers is becoming a real cocky jerk on the field with all his trash talking. First he takes cheap shots at Jay Cutler (something I have NOT forgotten), and now he was jabbing with some of the Indianapolis Colts fans while he was on the sideline!

SD had a good chance this weekend against New England..

Tarl, what kinda odds did you get on your bet? LOL

Two pretty exciting games yesterday!! But I am disappointed at how poorly the Green Bay Packers played and foiled (perhaps) Brett Favre's last chance at another Super Bowl ring.. Congrats to Eli Manning though for playing so well.. I think I'm gonna be rooting for him and the Giants in the Super Bowl.. It would be cool to have it so that Peyton wins a Super Bowl last year against the Bears and now this year his brother gets one by upsetting New England, which I think is very possible.

He refused to sign with the team that drafted him and spent the next several seasons playing terrible football and showing no leadership.

That defense (a brick wall for a D-line) is the sole reason they're in the Super Bowl.

He refused to sign with the team that drafted him
(So did John Elway & Jim Kelly ,and would you want to spend your career with a team that at that time had been known for it's constant losing ways?
I would have done the same thing.)

and spent the next several seasons playing terrible football and showing no leadership.(Plenty of great players take years before they show the potential that they possesse.Eli is a case of this. His recent play in the playoffs has shown this.)

That defense (a brick wall for a D-line) is the sole reason they're in the Super Bowl.
(The defense is great, that much is true. But Eli has shown the leadership and the play making ability in the playoffs that everyone thought he was capable of when he was drafted. He has yet to throw a interception in this years playoffs and simply outplayed Brett Farve yesterday.I don't know if it'll continue but Eli has shown that he can be a proven leader for this team on the field.)

Three. Brady's a Michigan alum, so I have to support the Pats. Plus, no NFL team has gone undefeated in my lifetime, so I'd kind of like to see that.

Walking wounded: Brady spotted in cast

Fans of the New England Patriots had to be swallowing hard Monday when pictures of quarterback Tom Brady sporting a walking cast on his right foot surfaced.

A video taken of Brady in New York Sunday, which is available on TMZ.com, shows the NFL's MVP returning to girlfriend Gisele Bundchen's apartment. He's walking gingerly on the sidewalk after emerging from a black SUV parked on the street.

During his weekly appearance on WEEI's "Dennis and Callahan" show, Brady didn't dismiss the notion he had suffered some type of leg injury during Sunday's AFC Championship win. "Ah, you know, there's always bumps and bruises. I'll be ready for the Super Bowl," Brady said, when asked point-blank if he had a leg injury.

Congrats to NE for their 4th SB birth. My Bolts were game but not healthy. I thought the Chargers had a much better shot than the Giants...Man, I didn't see that one coming....'grats to the NY Giants too.

At least SD answered 2 important questions(for the pundits, not me). Rivers is their QB and Norv Turner can win in the playoffs...

*sigh*

when is the draft?
