But knowing the Giants sporadic play they might not even make it past the Buccaneers in the first round.

Congrats to the Pats. Hoo-rah!! I have now seen Boston take a World Series and an undefeated football season. My hopes are that they will sweep. They deserve it. What a game, what a season.

Doubly ironic, that!

Seriously, I hope your team has a good postseason; they've been killing for it.

Now don't get cocky. As everyone should know now that the playoffs are about to start is that the last 16 games mean nothing. In the playoffs you have to take it game by game.Any team has a chance in the playoffs hence why they're in the playoffs to begin with(in most cases)but if you would like to take the season into account then all i'll say is that the Patriots could have easily been 12-4 instead of 16-0.I was bummed the Titans got in as i was hoping for the Browns to get the final spot but hey at least the Browns got to a double digit win season for the first time in along time.Anything can happen...

I think that Jacksonville and San Diego will give both New England and Indianapolis very good games when the second round of the playoffs start. Jacksonville is, IMO, the most underrated team in the NFL (how they don't have a Pro-Bowl player on the roster is amazing considering the great season that they've had), and would have a great chance against either New England or Indianapolis.
San Diego, despite a slow start because of the need to get on the same page with the new coach, have been one of the hottest teams in football for the past month or so, and are going to be a team to watch out for in the playoffs, and is my pick to win the AFC and face Green Bay (my NFC pick) in the Super Bowl.

Other firings that have take place... Parcells has fired the Dolphins GM Randy Mueller.. Marv Levy has resigned as GM of the Buffalo Bills, and it is expected that the Detroit Lions are gonna fire offensive coordinator Mike Martz..

The last time the two # 1 seeds went to the show was 1993 and my 2006 14-2 Chargers are part of that group of failures...
I give the Chargers a puncher's chance because NE's veteran defense, while very good, is kinda... old. My main concern is the huge disparity in the quality of the Qbs.

Posted 09 January 2008 - 08:43 PM
Giants over The Cowboys
Colts over The Chargers (no Antonio Gates that really hurts San Diego's chances)
The Packers over The Seahawks ( I guarentee Matt Hasselback will keep his mouth shut when it comes to the coin toss this year!! LOL)
and for my upset The Jaguars over The Patriots. As much as I love New England, Jacksonville is the one team that I think will knock them out but we'll see.

Okay I'm gonna dare and make my picks for this weekend!

Colts over The Chargers (no Antonio Gates that really hurts San Diego's chances)

My buddy is flying out from Chicago to watch the Charger game...he plans to bet on the Jags. I would loooooooooooooooooooooooooooove to see the Jags upset the Pats...but I think the Jags will loose...but their effort will wear down that old Pats D and set up an upset for SD.
OK, so I am a homer! Go Bolts!!

I'm a homer too, but I don't think the Chargers have a chance against The Colts. The only thing that will happen with the Pats might be they don't cover the spread. Pats will win and still piss off the Anti Pats bandwagon lead by the 72 Dolphins.Okay I'm gonna dare and make my picks for this weekend!

I think Ladainian Tomlinson,Brett Favre,& Eli Manning will all have something to say about that.In other news the Giants won! So two high seeds get eliminated today & for once the younger Manning is moving on while the older Manning is headed home.
So next week it'll be
AFC Championship
San Diego Chargers at New England Patriots
&
NFC Championship
New York Giants at Green Bay Packers
