I don't think Oakland or NY would pass on Vince Young...unless his audtions(passing drills/mechanics analysis) fail to impress. Do you the fans of those teams would stand for that?
Right now, it depends on the coach. mangini is a defensive guy, and you need the push up front in order to get to the QB. If you have that, your secondary improves, teams score fewer points, etc. Besides, Edwards is being compared to Peppers, and the Jets need a superstar athlete to put pressure on the run, and the QB. The best defense is a good defense, in my book. The Raiders are a bit iffy at this point, there are more than enough weapons-Moss, Porter, Jordan and Kerry Collins is still efficient. There are other QB's who are available later on in the draft who can be great NFL QB's. Young had a great game, but he needs to work on his mechanics, and he needs to show he can read defenses, which was a problem of his. An NFL scout, who is a family acquintance has told me that Young has so much raw talent, he is a top 10 pick, but only on a team that can allow him time to learn and develope. Back to the raiders, though. They need some front seven help and would take Kiwanuka if available, or Demeco Ryans the LB out of Bama, seeing as they had one of the worst defenses in the NFL. But, it all depends on who they name as head coach.

The Jets' GM has already said that he doesn't plan on taking a QB in the draft, and add that along with the fact that there are so many other holes on this roster to fill, I can really see them passing on both of the top 2 QBs. What I would do is take D'Brickashaw Ferguson if he's still available at the 4th pick, and if not, trade down and try to get multiple 1st rounders. Also, with the big need at RB the team has, Lendale White of USC would be a great pick.
Ultimately, I think that the Jets will bring in a veteran QB to challenge Pennington for the job, and draft either a defensive player or a lineman with the 4th overall pick in the draft.

Now that that's outta the way, I can offically root for Pittsburg. I always liked Cowher because after SD beat them in the AFC championship game in '94 he was very gratious in defeat.
Go Steelers!

The Dove: don't jump. Please. You still have many friends here at CBN.There is always next year.Pittsburg lost the AFC championship at home last year and look where they are today.Sorry bro. Tough loss. I know how it feels. We lost at home in OT to the friggin Jets because of missed field goals... Again. Condolences...

Lol..Thanks for the support Tarl! I just got home from 9 days of vacation in Tampa, Florida so thats why I haven't been around lately.. I was overjoyed when Denver knocked of New England in the divisional round, and just plain disgusted when those damn Steelers kicked our on Sunday!! Oh well give them all the credit in the world, they played a great game ( I guess all you Pittsburg fans can consider this revenge for the '97 AFC championship game, when Denver went to Three Rivers and sent Cowher and his team packing).. Not the best day for any quarterback named Jake!! (Man, what the F@#$ was up with Delhomme and the Panthers?? At one point in the game he had a QB rating of 1.8!!! Congratulations to Mike Holmgren and Seattle getting to their first ever Super Bowl in franchise history!! I'm kinda torn on who to root for, as much as I really want the Seahawks to win, it would be nice also for Bill Cowher to get that Super Bowl XXX loss off his back.

Saints hire Gary Gibbs-former Oklahoma head coach and LSU defensive coordinator as their new defensive coordinator. Good hire by Payton.

Yeah dud, Western Pennsylvania football rocks! (Go WPIAL!) Not to bragg or anything, but we take full responsibility for George Blanda, Dan Marino, Joe Namath, Johnny Unitas, and Joe Montana. You're welcome.Everyone knows it's the western Pennsylvania football team that actually WINS the Super Bowl.

Thank you! So I'm not the only person who thinks that Seattle's home uniform is ugly as crap. To me it looks like a high school football team reject uniform. Ugh. Upper St. Clair's uniforms are even better than that.No football today. Is that even legal?
Not really. But it gives the Seahawks more time to think they can pick up our blitz - - which will make it all the more humorous when Joey Porter shatters Hassleback like a large pane of glass........glass with an ugly uniform.
Not the best image, but as you can tell, our uniforms resmeble the Miami Hurricanes' (Switch the Black and the White for our away unforms).

Steelers 34
Seattle 24
I see some pretty good scoring especially later in the game with both teams moving fairly well through the air. But I see Hasselback making a few mistakes under relentless Pittsburgh pressure.

Oh dear god, NOOOOOOOOO!!! Please don't let this become a done deal! lol Well, if it should happen that Denver does get TO in a trade, they should and most likely will make him sign an incentive contract in which TO will only get paid if he shuts his trap and plays to the best of his ability and potential. The Eagles made the mistake by giving him a huge amount of money right off the bat and then having him start to complain and whine about how "47 million isn't going to feed my family!!" I tell ya, he better not pull any of that if he becomes a Bronco!! Johnboy007, your an Eagles fan aren't you?? You'll probably be laughing your off if TO comes to Denver!! lol

You're on my good side, Genrewriter.I'm pulling for the Steelers, mainly because I can't say "I'm rooting for the Seattle Seahawks" with a straight face (I tried and failed miserably).
Don't ever show your face here again!I'm rooting for the Seahawks.
