Lost in Translation.

Very overdue the "special edition" treatment, that one. Along with KILL BILL. Oh, and the MAD MAX films, and---- well, quite a lot of others, I suppose.

-Arrested Development Season 3
-Double Indemnity - Special Edition
-Hotel
-The Dreamers
-MirrorMask
-The Captain's Paradise
-The Man in the White Suit
-The Lavender Hill Mob
-The Ladykillers (from 1955)
-Kind Hearts and Coronets
-The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser
-Even Dwarfs Started Small
-Lessons of Darkness
-Fata Morgana
-Heart of Glass
-Little Dieter Needs to Fly
-Styoszek
-The Boston Strangler
-Mirror Crack'd
-Angels With Dirty Faces
-Sweet Smell of Success

Don't forget FITZCARRALDO, if you haven't seen it. If you have, see it again. :)

It is a good one. In fact, I just got it via Netflix the other day so I could rewatch it. I'll be buying it at some point, no doubt.

"The Asphyx" (1973), great British horror movie.

By the way, V for Vendetta was awful I thought, and I turned it over to another movie (I was on a plane).

It is Hugo Weaving behind the mask, I believe, the Aussie actor, from "Priscilla Queen of the Desert" and "The Matrix".

It was Hugo Weaving, but it was supposed to be James Purefoy. He was recast at the last minute. "True" story. In the sense that it was in Entertainment Weekly.

It's hard for me to judge V for Vendetta objectively, since I read the graphic novel by Alan Moore and it was mind-blowingly fantastic. The film did almost everything wrong. Once upon a time I wrote a comparative review, if anyone cares to know what I think.

BOT.

CLEOPATRA - A shabby film, but one I have a soft spot for, maybe because of the sheer amount of excess and glamour. Definitely an epic film.

SCHINDLER'S LIST - A masterpiece and a film every film-lover's collection should contain.

TERMINATOR 2: JUDGEMENT DAY - Great entertainment.

UNITED 93 - A true masterpiece. One of the best films of the past decade.

Tombstone-Vista Series Director's Cut
Whose Line is it Anyway? - Season 1, Volume 1 Uncensored (yeah, it's not as good as the British version, but it'll do for now)
