Very strange. And when I say strange, I say it's really strange even within the boundaries of David Lynch's 'strangeness'.
Since I first watched it in a movie theatre I came up with at least 4 more or less plausible theories to explain the whole story.
Anyway, this movie is above all symbolic, so if you ever happen to watch it, enjoy it for the pure exercise in style it is, and please don't mess your head up trying to understand it. :)

I bought BATMAN BEGINS today. I've heard many great things about it, and the reboot aspect is pertinent to the situation facing the Bond franchise. Working my way through it now, and really enjoying it.

Don't mean to pry, but does that statement make sense?

Not that it has to make sense,
but yes, this time it does.

I think it could be. I've seen discussions going on here where some members cite some Bond film for being the best of the series, but name another one as their personal favourite.

BLADE RUNNER (director's cut) and UNITED 93 (I have a few issues with the film, but bought the DVD because director Paul Greengrass has a commentary track - hope it's as worthwhile as the one he has on the BOURNE SUPREMACY DVD).

The 1998 American version of Godzilla (yes, I actually enjoyed that one), and the two-disc set of the original Japanese Gojira and the American edit, Godzilla, King Of The Monsters, starring Raymond Burr. (If you ever get the chance, listen to Frank Caliendo's impression of Raymond Burr in that movie. It's essentially Perry Mason cross-examining Godzilla.)
