I admit that perhaps Felix shouldn't be too handsome, but I don't think he should be ugly either. Maybe I'm the only one, but I think Craig could easily hold his own next to somebody like Holloway, especially if their personalities work well together.

Anyone seen Paycheck, or trailer for the upcoming Thankyou for Smoking.. Aaron Eckhart?
Good choice.
Josh Holloway is just too gorgeous really. DC does it for me, he's fit, but Josh Holloway makes me need to take a cold shower. Sitting down. We just can't put him next to DC.

Who says having a young Felix is "trendy"? I simply want him to be about the same age as Bond, as he was in the original novels. I never liked the idea that Felix should be Bond's kindly uncle. It had no literary basis. It bothered me that EON continually hired guys like Cec Linder, David Hedison, and (shudder) Norman Burton. In Fleming's books, Felix was just Bond's close friend and colleague. They behaved like equals, not master and apprentice. Felix may have helped Bond out and even saved his life a few times, but he doesn't have to be middle-aged to do that.

Exactly could not agree more - when one reads about Felix (especially LALD and DAF) you get the feeling that this is a man who is very much like Bond, not the uncle-type who is all mature and sensible. This is a guy who like Bond follows his instinct - witness him going solo after The Robber in LALD.
Holloway and Grosselar are both good choices, but I'm leaning towards Casper van Dien, he would make a smashing Felix imo, he has the right age, looks, origin and is not to big a star. More importantly I think that the producers should make sure that who-ever they choose will reprise the role when needed.

If Jeff Goldblum were younger, I could actually see him in the role, even though he'd be imposingly tall, and as un-Texan as they come.
I disagree. Have you seen Chuck Norris in Walker Texas Ranger? In the show, he played a Texas Ranger but with no personality of a Texan. Seriously, he doesn't act and sound like one! I like the show. And he also proves that not all Texans are a bunch of "yee haw-saying-George W.Bush" people.
